Hi Lattie

Am nearing the end of a huge year long fight with MBNA over PPI charges which I never requested. The FOS have advised them to pay me the charges back plus £200 for "the stress and inconvenience" caused to me:rolleyes:. IF, I get this £200, then you will certainly have it for your fund:p

OMG!!!! Come on MBNA - give empowered her money back NOW!!!!!!

That is such a generous idea - I hope it works out and I hope you get your money back. And of course the stress and inconvenience money too!!!

These people are such slime! Don't get me started!

Here is my rant against banks - don't read on unless you are bored

The banks and financial institutions are almost solely to blame for the worldwide recession cutely named the credit crunch. But do they take responsibility for their actions? - NO! - they carry on regardless.... and blame the politicians and the consumers and everyone else for the reckless disregard which has ruled their industry for years. I do wonder sometimes if there is some connection between them being rumbled for the way they were treating their customers (resulting in having to refund unlawful charges) and the credit crunch is like the other side of their industry - their gross stupidity in loaning 125% on house loans to people ill equipped to repay it and basing it on backing from other banks who are doing the same thing making one big circle of debt with nothing solid to back it up. Total ineptitude!

Rant over - back to having fun -or actually, a question - - - -

what is with these bits showing up all over the site in blue with little explanations when you hover over it - for example in empowered's message above where it says FOS - (which will now probably turn blue)

Who put them there and why?

Your more than welcome Latty. My mum (79) was diagnosed with breast cancer at christmas and is having surgery in the next 3-4 weeks so thank you for doing this. You really are a very special lady:)

ASBO is fine. She is still a 'bugger' but she is keeping mum on her toes at the moment. When I got home from work yesterday they were both eating a sandwich........mum at one end and asbo at the other !! This little dog has kept me going for the last 2 years........if only the shouting at her and chasing her.

Well done with the training. Keep going .....we are all behind you (some of us a lot further behind than others !!)

Hugs

Chris xxx

PS Are they your cat and dog ? They are lovely:D

my mom had a mastectomy at age 75 and sailed through life to age 95.

give your mom my best wishes and i firmly believe that a positive attitude goes a very long way in speeding recovery.
