We are a small business and have leased a multifunctional office machine. The company who sold the machine have not set the machine up to do any of the different functions and we are now still having to maker quarterly payments to the lease company. This has been the situation for seven months now and we can get no response from the sellers despite sending recorded letters, and faxing, telephoning and Emailing them also. Do we have any rights as far as the lease goes? We would like to just stop the payments, but presumably could be taken to court by the leasing company. Any help would be very gratefully received.

As far as I am aware, the contract will be gospel here. Does it explicitly state in the terms of the signed contract that the device will be set up? Does it explicitly state in what way it will be set up? Do you also have maintenance on the device (usually on a cost per copy basis)?
