My recent co-op account does not carry a cheque book because of the multi default position I am in. That is how I recently came to open an account with them. They do D D and S O's on the account as well as a visa card. So I suppose it is a current account. When I went to college, we were told of an example whereby a cheque was written on the side of a cow and passed. A cheque is only an instruction to a bank to pass your money to another party. As my account carries no cheque book, can I print my own and expect them to be cleared if I have sufficient funds?
