Hi all,

I received a letter today from littlewoods Direct advising that they are changing their policy on Buy now Pay later Items. Until now you effectively got a few months interest free even if you didnt pay the balance in full however they are changing it from the end of Jan so that if you have any Buy Now Pay Later items which you havent paid for in full by the end of the BYPL period they will charge you the interest on the items for the entire period the offer was on.

Whats more they are back dating this to any currently outstanding payments! so effectively changing the terms of an offer i took out 4 or so months back

is this Legal?? i know its not moral but surely they can only apply this policy change to any purchases after the date of the change??

To be honest, I have no idea. Possibly it depends if there is a clause in the terms and conditions which allow them to change their terms and conditions.

I would be having a very careful read of the small print.
