  • 1 year later...

I purchased a leather sofa from Land OF Leather about a year ago and used there finance pay later scheme. When i tried to make a payment at Open and Direct retail services only to find that i get redirected to another company called LaSer UK, ok i thought they got bought out by Laser not a problem. Only to find that when on here i try to make a payment that again i get sent to Creation.(who are they?). Who am i actually paying? Surely there must be some regulation that states whom i am paying the money too. Then when i make the payment itself i found that im not paying the £2078, as the invoice from Land Of leather states im paying £2107, i then have to pay another 3% for using a credit card. . Well i guess its better than paying £5213.16 that i would have had to pay if i did not pay it of early. Oh and guess what they only sent me one letter to notify me that it was due, which happened to land on my doorstep 3 weeks after i collected the furniture Feb 2007. I guess they use that tactic so that people forget about it and have to pay the the full cost of the agreement of £5213.16 so i reckon they have roughly 100% interest rate. Not very impressed with Land Of Leather at all

Hi adrian and welcome to CAG

You would be better starting your own thread - this thread has not had any posts for over 6 months. To start a thread click the newthread.gif button at the botom of the forum. Perhaps you could copy and paste the contents of the post above into the first post on your new thread.

Do you have the original agreement you signed at L of L? Could you post it on your new thread (personal details removed of course) so we can advise better.
