I may have put the wrong link in?

'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.'

Simonjohn,

If only they were, but when you sit down and work it out sadly that is not the case.

There charges are just as high if not higher, it is the same old tactic and is why they have got away with this for so long it just looks cheaper.

Ya know if it was 1980 and we were in a restaurant, I'd light a cigarette. The "food" always arrives as soon as that happens.

:p

Hehe, they arrive ultra fast now if you light up a ciggie!

Fancy Moroccan restaurants without hubbly-bubbly pipes?!

I feel an urge to get on the soap box about that subject for sure.

i can't understand how they could keep hiking up charges, without me agreeing to them. its easy enough to say if i don't like the new charges go somewhere else. but with a loan and overdraft thats not as straight forward as it sounds.

i honestly hope the banks are brought to justice and it hits them very very hard. they have done it to me enough times:x

Pah, he's behind us, Car, someone on the Halifax forum did the maths on that 2 days ago, lol.

Not for me to say, but he probably got it from here

It's sounding as though "before October" actually means "the end of October" for this judgment.

There's me thinking I would have 2 months to plan what I'll be spending me money on before Christmas got here...

I believe we are looking at 26th October (from a link above). Intrugue catches us all at the outcome BUT if I recall the OFT did say they would persue it to the end. I hope these legal people have a backlog of work lined up when they become either the 'darlings' or 'enemies' of the people who have been fleeced.

I did a post months ago on CAG (which I cannot find) regarding another bank who did terms like the suggested LloydsTSB in the link. Just cannot find it now. Maybe people will switch to pay day loans etc after finding their APR's at circa 2,500% might be preferable. :(

We are looking at a minimum of 26th October which means it will probably be later than then.

The big question is: When will consumers get their money back? Answer: Unlikely to be this year. Now that is the answer most people want to know :D

Aaaaannnnndddddddddd!!!........why the reason to be so negative?

I have noticed a fair few posters on this forum, whilst keeping their feet on solid earth, are not hopeful the HoL/SCoJ will hand down a favourable judgement.

Can someone explain why please? ;)
