Actually, will amend that part tomorrow if I need to, have had more than enough for one day and my brain has now completely frozen up. Junk TV here I come, and then bed for a good nights sleep, as I certainly didn't have one of those last night.

Will commence battle tomorrow morning. :)

Hi there - amend to " We offer the sum of £100 per month in addition to our normal monthly payment. GE have refused to discuss a monthly payment arrangement despite our request".

Trust you can relax tonight.

Kind Regards

Form finished, am taking it to the court tomorrow. Didn't need to amend that last bit in the end - husband called GE Money to make a payment today and made the offer of £100 per month off the arrears which after trying to get him to agree to at least £130 per month they flatly refused. So I've kept that paragraph in about making an offer to repay etc.

Anyway, glad to have the form out of the way, think I'm actually looking forward to the hearing now so that we don't have to worry about it anymore.

Hi there, good luck for tomorrow. Remember to take a copy of what you put in Q27 with you in case you need to refer to it. Don't forget to update us on what happens,

Best regards

Not long got back from court. I'm very glad to say we were granted a suspended repossession! It's such a huge huge relief!

We were lucky enough to have a duty solicitor represent us, and she recommended that we offer £50 a month toward the arrears rather than the £100 we originally stated. And the judge agreed, after shooting the GE solicitor down in flames for being unfair. Absolutely fantastic result. :)

I'd like to thank everyone here for all your support and especially Ell-enn without whom we'd never have managed to get the defence form completed decently.

Now we can concentrate on sorting the rest of our debts out. We're likely looking at bankruptcy, but we'll be discussing that with a CAB debt advisor on Friday.

I'm soooooo relieved. :)

Fantastic Faraday, absolutely well done.. Now once you've gathered your scattered brains, you can begin to put things into perspective. One thing I always said was 'try to 'trade your way out of debt' Bankruptcy is a very big step to take...don't go rushing into it. I've saved a fellow in the Midlands from this, he lost his house, but he sold it rather than having it taken, we negotiated vast discounts off his credit cards ( £16,500 chopped off a £22,000 debt! ) as they didn't come up with agreements etc. etc.. there are MANY ways you can reduce this debt of yours, it just takes a bit of time to settle down and look at each and every one of them and negotiate with the creditors based upon paperwork and facts.. you'll surprise yourself believe me and you won't have this bankruptcy hanging over you for years to come.

It CAN be done. But for the moment - brilliant, well done.

Thanks all. :) I'll be breaking out a bottle of wine tonight I think. :D

And yes, we have some breathing space now to tackle everything else. Believe me I'm not taking bankruptcy lightly, and I will research every avenue before making a decision, but a couple of legal advisors have already said it's probably our best option given our incomings and the amount of debt we have. The good news is that we have negative equity in the property and I've been told by the duty solicitor today that a judge wouldn't touch the house if that were the case. But going for advice from the CAB and a specialist bankruptcy solicitor after that too I think.

But all of that is to worry about another day, today I'm thankful for the small moment of hapiness from the result we've got. Such a huge weight has been lifted!

Have you looked at an IVA I was ging to but in the end didnt need to better than Bankruptcy as long as you get the right person to organise it these companies that advertise them take a packet in fees but look into it it can be the way out as when it is in force( and its legally binding ) as long as you keep up no one can touch you

Faraday Tracing Burea Tracing People who have a Pension with the National Bus Company.

I have finally had a reply. I have been doing some digging and this is what I have found.

In March 2008 there was a case in the chancery division, please double click on the blue writing below to read the case:-

http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/Ch/2008/455.html

Basically if you had a pension with the National Bus Company you maybe entittled to a sum of money.

Alot of people lost out on their pensions as far as I am aware there is over a million pounds to be claimed.

Solicitors called Taylor Wessing contacted Faraday Tracing Burea to trace missing people who have not claimed their pension pot. You could also claim if you were next of kin. Please click on the link below

http://www.taylorwessing.com/lawyers/details/david-greig.html

The company dealing with the claims in Standard Life Mr Collins telephone number 0131 245 6431.

I am requested copies of all documents in relation to the pension.
