How did this company know who you are personally from this website?

Furthermore, how could they prove it too?

He posted all of the correspondence between the 2 parties on the thread, letters to and from the company and the solicitors. Not difficult to work out who he was!!!

Also, just adding without prejudice to your tag line will not help protect your posts, this is a public forum, you are putting the information in the public domain and as you are the author of the posts it cannot be denied that you have not seen it prior to the hearing, you typed it!!

Not necessarily, it may have been typed by a relative/friend with access to a logged on unattended PC!

For someone who has just made his first post on the forum you seem to know a lot about not only the case from the current threads but also information that was in the deleted threads. Hmmmmmmm

may i ask

does it matter realy

you have prob been looking at my thread over the last 6 months with my battle with a certain finance company

i dont care if they no its me, this is a public forum for people like me who are not legal minded to get help.

as far as i am concearned let them know that they will be in for a fight.

just goes to show , these people have been getting away with things for to long, relying on peoples ignorance of the law

just shows they must be getting worried by cag

if they obayed the law there would be no need for cag

keep the cag flag flying

I tend to agree with you postggj, but CAG has to be very careful that posts are not libellous in any way to ensure that it can keep going. The banks and other institutions have learnt a lot from us.:p

Best advice yet Caro.

This forum is extremely helpful to many people, however, there’s a handful of members who use it to berate and harass people and if not taken in hand will see the closure of the site.

In response to the gold member named “make them aktiv runners” I beg to differ, the forum is a public forum, in essence anyone can read it without being a member, therefore, the information is in the public domain and would not be excluded if the judge decided to accept it. This was made clear to Mr Thorp at the hearing, in a small claims hearing it is at the judges discretion if he makes evidence admissible. Think about it, he could have simply logged onto the internet and seen it for himself!

As above, I would love to see this site continue for a very long time, it is extremely helpful to people, but you must be very careful of taking advice from “Lay Lawyers” especially people who appear to know what they are talking about. After all, you could be taking advice from an unemployed filing clerk.

My advice is to get the information you need from this site and run it past a qualified solicitor BEFORE you go into court. As in the case of Mr Thorpe it could be very costly if you get to court and it transpires you don’t really know what on earth your doing. This will save you time and money in the long run.

Keep the site live for the good of the general public.

Fruition, while this forum IS accessible to the public to read, without the need to log in, it is NOT Public Domain at all.

As has already been mentioned all the rights are owned by Reclaim The Right Ltd, the legal owners of this site.

Public domain - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Be VERY careful whose advice you listen too

Er they are crash3903 and they are also posting to the thread.

I'm also keeping the details of my appeal (should I make one) very close to my chest. Probably my last post in this thread or in any other threads to do with the company in question for obvious reasons

I think this thread has served its purpose, OP has made an extremely good point and indicating that he won't be posting again so I'll close it. Please PM me if you disagree dave. I'll try and clear some space in my inbox.
