You could buy a RHTV smart card in Coment (and other stores). The charge would have been paid in cash - or if a card, billed to this and used as the basis of an ongoing subscription commitment until cancelled.

 

In this case, no T&Cs were provided to the customer (I'm told!) so when the money stopped, the service did too. It looks like a speculative punt for money - as for emailling them, I wouldn't. ANY information you provide will be retained by them - no matter how insignificant you may think it appears to be.

 

I'd respond from the address they wrote to - saying you have no knowledge of the debt, and suggest they go back to their client for clarification.
