FHS offering me a solution to my debt problems - Have you heard of them ??

Hi all,

 

I have been getting calls from a company called FHS offering me a solution to my debt problems, sounded like a very busy call centre from india or similar.

 

I asked why they thought i had any debt problems and they said that it had come to there attention via there own data base.

 

I must say Ifeel a little vunerable as I don't know how or where they have there so called information from.

 

Anyone heard of them please.

Unfortunately people seem able to access info about others very easily. Have you made any loan applications via a broker? I have in the past and was bombarded for months after. I think not accepting the loan offered made it worse!!

 

I often wonder if DCAs pass info on as well. Who knows? It is unnerving though.

I assume that they pick up a lot of info. via the Credit Ref. Agencies... as I haven't made any applications for credit for years, yet get a fair bit of spam mail inviting me to re-mortgage, consolidate debts, take out higher interest credit cards, such as Crap One ... and so on.

Yes, i'm not happy with them either! I had applied for a copy of my credit file just before reading a thread on here about a DCA being connected to Experian (? i think). Lo and behold, Weightmans have suddenly surfaced after a no show for 9 months (enough time to have a baby ).

 

I still get the occasional loan letter - geez, they'd run a mile if i applied now anyway!!!

I haven't checked my credit report, as they say that it can open a bigger can of worms.

 

Have either of you heard of FHS debt management - are they a real company.

I haven't heard of them...

 

Unless they contact you in writing, I wouldn't worry about them... if they ring again, hang up.

I haven't heard of this company. I've done a search on the t'internet and haven't come across any matches.

 

I would ask them not to call you again. If they do, ask for a contact address and their complaints procedure. It's often enough to put them off

I Just feel there was something very fishy (gut feeling) about the calls. just a feeling, but nothing i can do about them so I am off to do my shopping.

CG7, I think you are right to feel there is something fishy about the calls. I personally have never heard of FHS, but I do have more than a gut feeling that details of debtors/supposed debtors are being sold (for profit?).

So much for data protection! Its more like data jumble sale!

Yes I agree that its not right the way they are able to just sell our data on, he actually said to me that it has come to his attention that i might need a Debt Management Plan, Who told him that !!! Its disgusting that they are able to use our information like that, but proving it is another.

 

Hope life is treating you OK Zimmie and that all your problems with DCA's are at an end.

I keep getting calls from this company, using my previous name and my previous address from 7 years ago???

 

Despite telling them repeatedly I have TPS and to leave me alone, they keep calling.

 

I'm getting used to the accent now so if I get a call from someone using my previous anme, I just say "sorry, you have the wrong number" and hang up.

I too have had calls from these people (at least I think they're the same ones) ...they sound like a call centre in India and when I questioned them about how they got my details they said it was from their database. They say they are not offering finance, but a solution to your financial problems - IVA's !!! Guess what I told them..........

It really leaves you speechless doesn't it when they say, it has come to there attention that you might need there help:o quite scary actually.

 

Anyway not heard from them today at all, but still won't hold my breath just yet though.
