I was just wondering... If it ever game to the govt. not agreeing to support long-standing EU residents and revoke their stay, how would that pan out if they had kids here? For example someone who's German, with a British partner (not married) but has kids which were born here etc... I got into a fairly heated argument with a buddy of mine about this so it'd be interesting to see where the views stand.

Why take any dispute to the Ombudsman , is it worth the trouble? For the 3 time of trying to post this reply but worth reading:- Rights of Entry (Gas and Electricity Boards) Act 1954, The Gas Safety (Rights of Entry) Regulations 1996 In a genuine dispute there are no rights of entry(i.e magistrates warrant issued), however I would also caution health and safety matters if its a gas leak. if electricity meter dispute The Electricity Act 1989, The Utilities Act 2000 Note schedule 7 of 1989 act and schedule 5 of 2000 Act, an electric meter cannot be removed until a dispute is resolved. Ski giant Mark Warner has hiked the cost of holidays to the snow Mark Warner has a clause which allows it to add up to 10 per cent to the holiday price without having to offer any refunds. Up to £50 per head has been added to pre-booked holidays with the tour operator. The reason for the increase is not clear, but follows many other big names increasing prices due to the fall in the pound after Brexit. A former Oxford professor has criticised a car rental firm for charging him a 'Brexit tax' when he returned his vehicle, even though Britain has not left the European Union yet. Lord John Krebs, a zoologist, questioned the addition of £2.19 to his bill when he dropped his rental car back to Avis in Marseilles airport. He said he was told the charge was a 'Brexit tax', because Britain voted to leave the EU. Lord Krebs, now President of the British Science Association, refused to pay the 'tax'.
