  2. Hiya all, Just trying to help a friend of mine out. Last year she suffered a severe rape and sexual assault and has been off work ( until last month ) and receiving specialist police counselling for it. In this period of time she has got behind in repayments and one debt ( to an individual ) has gone to the high court and baliffs have attended when she was not in ( total was £3750 ) She has offered a proposal of £400 per month but they have come back and said they will only accept £1000 per month and £750 upfront which there is no way she can afford as her wages for the month are £1400 after tax She still suffers from severe anxiety and I am really worried about her as this has already put her more in her shell Am I right in assuming that as she has a crime reference number for it and is under counselling she would be classed as a vulnerable person? I have told her not to answer the door to them but its already having a huge effect, she missed a recorded delivery yesterday as she got herself into such a panic when the door went and had to miss a day off work because of it I am going to help her write a letter to the baliffs but need to know where I can go to make sure it is written properly. She has a PPI claim coming back - which I did for her - in 2 weeks but they rejected waiting until then for her to pay it all in full Any help would be greatly appreciated
  3. Cabot currently own a few of my debts which were passed to them via my bank. I am making very small monthly payments to cover the outstanding monies - I am sure Cabot would like me to pay more but I can't. However, thanks to a family member I have been offered a bit of financial assistance in the way of an interest free loan to get the debt collectors off my back. I wish to offer Cabot a settlement figure for the 2 outstanding debts (credit card & current account) so that I can bring this matter to a close. I would like to know what is the best approach and is there a recognised minimum % that can be offered by myself which they would have to accept, also are there any templates that would be suitable here on CAG that I could use. Thank you
  4. I am sure that the site team already know but in case this is new info, Moorcroft are replying to the 'Doorstep' template letter from the library with their own letter, which implies that the details are 'Not relevant to these circumstances' i.e your alleged debt because they have been gleaned from 'various websites. Rubbish I know, but it may worry some new members to this forum, and a word or two from the site team may re-assure them kind regards to all Derichleau
  5. My shrink recommends I get some breathing space by getting my GP to write a letter confirming my poor mental health. As the GP doesn't want to engage brain, is there a common format I can present him with so I've a fighting chance of getting something out of him before I self-destruct! I've had a jolly good search up & down these most excellent forums, many references to such a letter but no actual template forthcoming. Foolishly I paid £5 to pilesadvice.co.uk for such a letter but they just take the money and then don't tell you how to get the letter and their payment service provider seems to think this is OK Thanks in advance for all replies, John
  6. Can someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction. I'm after a template for a response to a creditor after an SD has been served, many thanks
  7. I'm sure there was a CV Template somewhere on this site. Can someone direct me to it please? I have searched online for Free templates, but I am confused. Most of them let you write the CV, then say you have to pay to download it. You can't even copy it. Or if someone knows a good website to do a free CV. The easiest to understand would be the best. Thank You.
  8. Dear CAG, Many thanks for reading. I am writing on behalf of my father who isn't very technologically or financially savvy. He yesterday was made redundant which has caused us to begin this quest. In 2002 he took out a 10yr £11.6k secured loan with GE Money (that was the easy bit). In October 2012 he finished off paying the loan. During the 10 year duration of the loan, he was in and out of work and managed to accrue fees of £5800. This has built up in a separate fee account which is now outstanding. In the past (when he had been out of work) he has had bailiffs calling and a court summoning etc, which is probably why the account value is so high. They have also been charging him compound interest on this money. Once he had paid the loan they sent him a letter demanding the full amount of the fees account, which he couldn't pay. we made an arrangement with GE Money that he would pay £200 a month. They would only accept this arrangement for 3 months, and then they would review it to see if we could continue like this. This is how we planned on continuing, until he was made redundant on Monday. The property that it's secured against is a flat worth about £110k which he owned outright until he had this loan secured against it. I am unsure if he ever signed up for PPI. We feel that we need to tread gently with them because if they demand all of the money then we are in trouble (which will probably cost more). in the short term I'll give him the money to pay the loan with a long term view of me getting a loan to pay it off (to keep the interest paid at a minimum). We are looking for any advice that may be able to help us out before we go down the route of getting a loan in my name. I have read things about reclaiming unfair bank charges and we could look into PPI. My fear is that by pursuing something like this could turn things sour, with them demanding immediate payment or something along those lines Many Thanks, Sheila.
  9. Thanks to speedfreak for this Here's my letters plus a copy of the SAR form I received. NHS SAR/FOI guide plus form I received yesterday - handy to know what address and documentation you have to supply. Also has fees. NHS SAR Guide.pdf Subject_access_request_form 110825.pdf Letter to GP for records taken from guide Access to Health Records under the Data Protection Act 1998 (Subject access request) Patient’s authority consent form for release of health records (Manual or Computerised Health Records) Date of request 27/07/2012 To: Dr Foster - Puddle Lane Gloucester From : Mr Speedfreek, 15 Milky Button Towers Lego Land, D.O.B. xx/xx/xx, Telephone xxxxxxxxx, NHS Number xxxxxxxxx Please accept this as a formal request as above for a copy of all computerised health records held by yourselves relating to myself from xx/xx/xxxx to present day. If there are additional paper records please could you indicate what these are? If you redact any of my record please could you provide a summary of what you have redacted and a explanation of why you have done this? I understand that a fee of £10 is chargeable for this request. As for the format of the data provided and if easier for yourselves I am quite happy to accept those records on a DATA CD or any other media that can be read/recorded on/to via a personal computer. If required you can contact myself on the telephone number xxxx xxx xxxx. It has an answering service, so if I am unavailable please leave a message. Yours faithfully Follow up letter after they failed to supply all info. My dealings with this - a patient summary/overview holds nothing controversial or from a 3rd party so does not need any decisions on what can and can't be released to you. It's also very simple to press print on go make a cup of tea and collect after 5-10 minutes. Getting the associated records under this summary page involves them doing something! Like getting everything authorised by a senior medically trained partner and clicking/going into each individual entry. The lady was not happy when I chased this yesterday. So deliberate obfuscation or pure laziness? Hiding behind the former as it's a lot of effort to do the latter fully I'd say! Dear xxxxxxx Practice, I made a request for a full copy of the records held by yourselves on myself in a letter (enclosed) on the xx/xx/2012. Unfortunately you have not complied fully with my request! Now what I asked for was; ' a copy of all computerised health records held by yourselves relating to myself from xx/xx/xxxx to present day. If there are additional paper records please could you indicate what these are?' What you have provided is a summary of my record without the underlying data that accompanies it. Now associated with my record summary are letters/referrals/reports/etc which I also require copies of as part of the original request. I know these exist as I have partial copies of some of them and my overview/summary that you have provided clearly indicates that these letters/referrals/reports/etc exist. I hereby formally request that you release this data in its entirety to me, as is my legal right under the Data Protection Act 1998 and therefore fully comply with my original request. To make things simpler I am not after anything related to my physical health in the slightest; like blood test results etc. What I'm after is everything held, sent or received with regards' to my mental health. To narrow it down even further; everything from and including my first referral to counseling dated xx/xx/xxxx by Dr xxxxxx xxxxx to present day. I would appreciate it if you also included the DWP reports about myself which have been requested/completed recently. They will get to me eventually I'd rather that it be sooner. If any of these are still held on paper or if you decided to treat this as a new request I am fully prepared to pay any new fees due. I would not be making this request if I wasn't. I look forward to hearing from you soon, yours faithfully
  10. Hi All, First of all am new here and I ve just stumbled upon pinky696's thread which has taken a good 2-3 hours to read through the thread, so here is hoping someone can advice me. I have an HSBC account with an overdraft limit of £1,500 this was my salary account and has always been paid into this account, I have a default registered in April 2007 but is still showing in my credit file 6 years later, but now that I suppose it should no longer be there based on the fact that a default should drop off the account after 6 years, should this still be registered on my account at all? Account Opened 21 March 2007 Last Updated28 February 2013 Opening Balance £0 Credit Limit £1,500 Headroom £1,500 Worst Status 1 If not who should i take this up with, Callcredit or HSBC? Thanks in advance. PS: Just edited the Post title as it seems a but misleading.
  11. hi i hope someone can help me as im new to site. im just starting the process of looking into claiming PPI foe several loans and cards i had and looking for a leeter template to start the ball rolling. would appriciate any guidance in this matter please. thank you
  12. Just as a favour I'm offering help with templates or amending templates too. If anyone needs help, or needs some custom changes made, I'd be more than happy to kick in and assist. Why? because CAG helped me loads and I think things like this need to be done on a free basis. years of IT experience, with years of experience with being in debt have honed my skills in this area to a diamond-sharp point What I don't do! You accounts or look through your books NOR want to see any of your personal details. What I do do: Help edit the templates (blank templates) to basically do waht you would like them to do Impossible No templates can't take out the garbage, do the ironing or wash the dishes lol, so if you have any mac or windows excel, numbers, word, pages help, I'm here if need be hope I can help! Cheers, A

  14. Whilst I am in limbo waiting for some results on my PPI claims I thought I would attack my OH's Executive loan PPI. We have the policy and the date the loan was taken out (2001) but no account numbers. We do have the current account statements for that period. It would appear that the PPI was paid monthly separately to the loan payment, around £30 per month over a period of nearly four years. Do I really need to SAR the bank for the account number? Can somebody please point me to a template that I can use for this - have found a few but all the threads seem old. Are there any updated versions. Can somebody also tell me how to calculate the PPI refund - do I take how much we paid and then out 8% simple per annum on it ? I also had an old loan agreement with PPI but I know that this one was paid early - but I do not know if I had a refund of part of the PPI - again do you think I can just go for it or should I SAR them. Thank you GS

  17. Hiya, can someone please send me a link to a template/wording for cancelling authority for WONGA to take money from my account (the one to send to WONGA not to the bank)? The loan is due to be debited tomorrow, I have cleared my account and rang Natwest to cancel CPA- they told me they would request WONGA not to take payment but could not cancel, however would refund any money should WONGA take it at any point....then went on to say that if WONGA changes the name it uses to try and take money they cant do anything about it and that I am wrong about the FSA regulations....feel so helpless I think Im going to have to close my accounts............. ...but I do need template or wording to email to WONGA now....anyone have the best email addresses to use in order to get a decent response and acknowledgement back from WONGA also? Cheers all

I would like to make a CPR Part 31.16 (Disclosure before Proceedings Starts) application to find out if I'm truly liable for this part of the tuition fees. The School passed my details to a debt recovery solicitor. Please I would like help in making this application. Help in the form of the template to use e.t.c. 24. Hi, Can anyone help to point me in the right direction of a Payday Loan Replayment plan template letter? The companies I have accounts with are Wonga, Lending Stream and WDA. Thanks in advance
  25. Hi, has anyone heard of the above company? I had a letter from them today in my last married name saying that I had a debt with G.E. Capital bank, I have been remarried for the last 8 years, the funny thing about the letter is that it says if I pay a certain amount of this debt, they will pay the rest. As far as I know I've never had anything to do with G. E. Capital bank. Anyone any ideas, I don't want to contact them, as I don't want to start any thing up with them, should I just ignore. I have a look round the forum stickies and can see that it would be statue barred anyway, as like I say I have been remarried for 8 years. Any advice would be appreciated.
