  1. ask the garage to keep it overnight and start it from cold first thing in the morning
  2. yes its one of their favourites the rewriting the agreement bit- unfortunatly for them they terminated my agreement formally first, and then squirmed when i refused to take out a new agreement with them.
  3. newman used the usual "we are acting on behalf of" routine before dropping it, this seems to be the dca's get out clause at the moment
  4. wife recieved a letter from a new dca (frederikson) after we informed the previous one (newman) that as they had no agreement or deed of assignment they can get stuffed. letter recieved yesterday, immediatly e-mailed copy of cca request i was posting, and low and behold account now shows as zilch and returned to original creditor. talk about a dca not wanting to know or what!!!
  5. tell them to bog off- my argument is they took out the ppi - so far allegedly- it seems in most cases!!

  7. i am getting very close to claiming for both ppi and charges lba already expired for ppi and 1week left of lba on charges- not heard from them at all regarding charges and a few attempts at cockiness in letters regarding ppi but they were soon ripped to bits:D
  8. i am in the same position as fairclaire too- once the ppi i was told i had to have and charges are taken off it will clear what i owe them plus a little more but i will settle for it all to be cleared, i don't think welcome will have the brains to realise that if it does go to court and costs etc are added it will cost them more money.

  10. what make of car is it? with the mileage and age you state surley it would be under warrenty unless its an import
  11. i recieved a couple as part of my s.a.r. but quite a few were missing, their paperwork is very hit and miss.
  12. i am going to post my lba for charges. i have gone through both these stages with regards to ppi misselling but just need to cca as i didnt get a copy of my agreement with my s.a.r, but then again they have provided no proof they actually took out the ppi!!!
  13. look at the welcome finance any dealings thread and you will find that most if not all of us who sent an S.A.R to welcome will not have recieved any details on the PPI- it's as if it doesn't exist
  14. richardcarz at the end of the day with an £800 banger you can only lose £800 i have known people drop £5000 in 3 months on new cars and you will not have to deal with welcome either

SEND EVERYTHING IN WRITING RECORDED DELIVERY. instead sit in the comfort of your own home , take your time, and do not feel frightened by their threats, yes it's hard but you and your parents do not have to be treated like this! as grapes says there are a lot of us who have been through it with welcome. we are here to help

  20. kieren scothern is senior compliance officer at ruddington- i would fire off a letter to him straight away- although the info i recieved on my subject access requeust was patchy, i wrote and asked for them to confirm that certain info was missing, which they wrote back and admitted, it goes to show that welcome are lax in their paperwork filing. but who would have guessed a year ago a forum like this would come along. i just dont think they can cope with the tables being turned!

  22. welcome apperently record all calls to and from branch - request a copy of these as part of the s.a.r.- they do not seem to understand that they have to supply all the data they hold on you
  23. you would have to get past the security first- i am fairly local- and ruddington hq isn't that impressive anyway
  24. i dont think the branch manager i am dealing with can get his head around the situation and is shirking my original request of 'can i have a refund or not' he spent the first fourteen days trying to ring an old telephone number rather than write to me although interestingly he did eventually write and stated that all calls to and from the office are recorded- i have now asked mr scothern to supply any recordings as part of my s.a.r.- he did not seem to realise that all data really does mean all data.
