Hi guys, I have just received attached PCN . It was not me who was driving the car, but my partner on said date. The place of PCN is Fox restaurant, she was the customer at the said restaurant at that time. Can someone please advise if we should pay for this said charge? Thanks. He does and is going to do that. I know... But this is the cheapest option insurer... Others jump by like £500 a year which is insane! Any advice on who to go for? I am due to switch in October.

Hi, Someone has damaged my car and left a note saying sorry here is my number. I have spoken with the guy and he wants to make a claim through his insurance company. He is asking for my details etc. Question is - does this affect my no claims and will it raise any premiums for me next year? Having spoken with my insurer (XS and their £3k excess) I can not trust them and want some advice. Thanks

Hi CAG! Hoping you all had a great bank holiday! Just bringing this post alive as in the last couple months DRP has bombarded me with some letters. I have now received a follow up threatening letter from Zenith Collections. Should I ignore this and carry on with my life or start putting some work into this? Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks guys. Police was not involved as he did not think of it at the time due to stress caused. However he did visit the hospital, they have given him some ankle and wrist support bracelets as he could not move it. They have scanned for any fractures and did not find any. This incident has been logged on the hospitals system. In regards to the witness, nobody has stopped or asked to be one, nor did he ask for anyone. The pizza shop on the main road had a delivery driver see the accident and I believe they have cameras installed which has recorded the accident. Is there any way evidence can be extracted from them or is it private? I do not think he wishes to involve a solicitor as he is not that wealthy to make this pursuit. Thanks

Hi guys, Hoping all is well and this is correct sub-forum to post in. I am writing on behalf of my friend and looking to get advice. My friend was cycling last night over a busy junction. He was overtaking the car in front of him on drivers side due to slow moving. Suddenly the driver of the vehicle has decided to make a right turn through a double white lines and rammed my friend on bicycle. (See PDF attached with image of the details). He has fallen down, hurt his body in several places and damaged his bike. The driver of the vehicle did not provide his insurance details. However, he has got drivers name/surname, vehicle details, drivers address, contact number. Is there any way he can claim for damages caused and the harm that has been done to his body? Good morning all, Hoping everyone had a great weekend! I have finally received the order from court and looks like it has been struck out and case closed! I will try and contact all credit agencies today to see if I can email them the order so I can have the CCJ finally removed! Thanks for advice Andy. I have just called the court and asked them about what you mentioned. She said I can ignore this letter, the case has been struck out and I will receive another letter with an order which was sent out on 20th June. Sorry about wasting your time guys, I will fully update this once I receive all the documents. Thanks

Thanks DragonFly. The judge specifically stated "Fine, I will strike out this case" not sure why it is set aside then In fact I would love to claim the £255 that I have paid! Ok so below are the steps I have been through so far. 1. Filled my N244 form for set aside 2. Court hearing held on 14/2/18 - judge has set aside 3. Been advised to serve my defence by 28/2/18 and serve the claimant 4. Have served my defence both to court and claimant 5. Have requested Vehicle Access Details from DVLA 6. Sent a CPR request to Gladstones & PCM 7. Been sent a letter from court that my defence did not arrive and it should be served by 6th June otherwise I would get a default judgement again. 8. Complied directly with court and presented my defence and served claimant once again. 9. Court hearing took place on 12th June where case was "Struck Out" 10. I have not received any correspondence at all from Gladstones or PCM Hoping above is in order and understandable? Hi all, Sorry it's me again... I have received a letter from court after the CCJ got struck out (see attached). Can someone please advise what I need to do? Thanks. When I check ClearScore - it shows my CCJ and case number is same as my court claim number. The only letter that I have it states following:- Upon hearing the Claimant in person, the defendant not attending IT IS ORDERED THAT Judgement in default dated 16.06.17 is set aside on condition that the defendant files at court and serves on the claimant a fully pleaded defence by 4pm 28.2.18 On top of the court letter it has my claim number which is same as ClearScore report. Is there a main credit reference agency that spread the information to all others that I should be contacting? Thanks again!

Thank you! I don't believe the courts have updated their records yet as it has not been removed off my file. How do I go about getting the reference number for the case? I have only received the letter to say it has been set aside, however there is no special reference number apart for my claim number. Should I call the court to get this number and maybe speak to them to update their records? Thanks once again for helping me out here, you guys rock!

Hey guys. Sorry have had busy day at work and just returned home. Good news! Gladstones did not even turn up to court. Judge has struck out the claim! She said that they could well come back after me again in future so to keep all documents. I have asked her if she could award me the costs for fee I have paid, however she said she could not go back to previous hearing and that I should have asked previous judge when he has set aside for me. She didn’t even want to proceed with the hearing as apparently I have not filled my defence. I have explained and showed proof that I have complied with everything and she took less than 5 minutes to strike it out. I personally want to thank you all for taking the time and helping me on t! Really can’t thank you enough guys, I will make a donation to keep this great site up! Now, does anyone know the process how I get rid of CCJ from my credit file? I assume once I get documents from court with results I will have to pass to credit agency for them to update? Thanks I’m absolutely happy !

Hi all, today is the day. I have a hearing at 12 noon. I am a bit worried, but studied hard last night and tried to understand what I will be saying. Can someone shine some light on how the process works? As English is not my first language I am a bit worried. I understand that the judge will be looking at my defence and going through it, perhaps questioning me too? I have taken all my receipts, defence, evidence pictures etc. Should I mention to the court that CPR request was never answered to me and I have had no reply back from Gladstones? Also if I win this case, how do I ask the judge to award me the costs for N255 form that I paid? Thanks and any tips are much appreciated! I will advise of an outcome later on today.

Yes exactly that... When I press the buttons for a claim, immediately someone answers. They are not part of the same people and just work on behalf of the insurer!!

Hi guys, Can someone please help me here. I need to make some adjustments for my car on new purchase. I am currently customer with Achoice and I have been trying to get hold of this company for past 4 days to either cancel or tell me how much it would cost to upgrade. Have been kept putting on hold for over 2.5 hours at each day and with nobody answering the phones. The service is absolutely poor and I wish I had googled them before purchasing this policy, but hey it was cheapest and my mistake. I am extremely angry and frustrated I don't know how to take this further. Can someone please advise what I could do? Many thanks!

Thank you guys. I have just came back from court. They have not received my defence. I have personally handed it over the counter and the man stamped the documents. He believes I have made a mistake and worded the document "witness statement" instead of "defence" thus why it was not processed. He has helped me correct this. I have also sent out my corrected defence to Gladrags via recorded delivery and kept a receipt of this. It should be with them on Tuesday morning. My hearing is set for 11th June so hopefully I am ready to battle! Thanks!

It is very odd, I will take the documents to court first thing tomorrow morning. I still have receipts that I have kept (thank god!). Should I ask the court if I should re-send the documents to Gladrags too or just do it anyway and send it as registered to be signed for post? Many thanks!

Hi, Can someone please help me out. I have just received attached letter. It states that unless the courts receive my defence by 5th June the claimant will be entitled to enforce the original judgement. Does that mean the courts have not received my original defence that I have sent the first time or do I have to resend the same documents again? I am a bit lost here, please help. If they did not receive it, should I hand deliver it to court instead? I am not very far from the court, but not sure if I can even walk in there and hand deliver. Thanks 24-5-18.pdf

Hello all, hoping you have been well. I have finally received a letter from DVLA regarding vehicle access, please find attached copy. Do I need to understand anything from this letter? I believe I have all the evidence and records of what I will be taking to court. It is coming up within next month, I re-read all my files today and seem pretty happy with what I understand. Is there anything else do you suggest I should prepare or I am pretty much good to go? Evening, I have just received a letter from court (attached). Hearing is set for 11 June 18. Can someone please take a look and advise if I should be taking this mediation they are mentioning in the letter? I have highlighted some points that I think are relevant for me. I have sent my defence with all the evidence pictures I will be relying on and and my WS to court and claimant on 28th Feb. Is there anything else I should be doing before the hearing takes place?
