If she says she changes the mattress after very 'long term' tenant, the last one was there for 4 years and you have been there for 5 years then she would have been going to change the mattress anyway so how can she charge you for it? I think she is trying it on with the stair carpet and nit picking with the sofa! I would dispute these amounts with the deposit holding company! -
I thought they couldn't mandate those in the support group to do anything?

They have a signed letter from the courts, they have also asked the court service to contact the JC but still being threatened with a sanction

They have done that, been told they will be sanctioned for 6 months, by the JC adviser, if they fail to turn up for the regular interview at the job center!

On my FB page someone has just posted that they have been sanctioned by the JC adviser because they have got Jury duty this week! Can this be legal?

You do not need a licence just because you own any equipment that you can watch live broadcast or BBC iplayer, you only need one if you actually watch tv programms as they are broadcast and BBC Iplayer!

I wonder how it can be classed as shop lifting? The gentleman was stopped AFTER the item was scanned by the shop assistant! If the gentleman had taken it to the counter and had it scanned I am sure he was going to pay for the item not scan and run with it?

I very much doubt that the HA said he could play his music as loud and as much as he wants, there will be rules in the tenancy agreement, plus as he has only just moved in he will be on a short term contract to see if he fits in and keeps to the rules. For now I would keep a diary of when and how loud he plays the music, also if you have any witnesses they should add to the diary as well.
