  1. I have been looking at the litigations concluded section and it has slowed down considerably!
  2. We have a number of people claiming now, a few should have gone through already, but we hear nothing else from the people claiming. Are the banks winning any cases?
  3. I have one of them too today. Pretty much says exactly the same
  4. Just recieved my acknowledgment letter from Lloyds Solicitor today. They now have 28 days from date of service to file a defence.
  5. ADMIN's Is this a standard reply from the court? Is everything going along swimingly?? I for one, would like the hear the admin/moderators opinion on this one.
  6. That is a good response, I hope they stick to it, as I would probably think you would not want the further hassle. Well done on getting a good outcome for your mum
  7. You are probably best to start your own thread and get responses that way. You can then use it as a time line.
  8. I had a letter from the court today. I know this website is not too clear in the process of what happens during the court process, so here is what my letter says: So, my time line is as follows: April - If no reply from the bank, I win and have to claim so via Moneyline May - If Lloyds enter a defence, this is the court date
  9. Wait until your time is up before sending it. That is what the admins advised me to do, so that is what I did. My claim has been processed through Moneyclaim and I am just waiting for the court papers to be "served"
  10. My Claim has been submitted via Money Claim. Once files, they have to check it. I am passed that stage now (take a day or so). Now my status on Moneyline is: LloydsTSB xxxxxxxxxxxx Issued Your claim request has been accepted. The Defendant has 14 days from the date they are served with the claim, to reply.
  11. Personally, I would pay. The Balliff is a court appointed person with a warrant to take your goods. The Citizen advise have some good info on what to do and what not to do. The issue is that if you do not pay, the Balliffs can enter your house if you are not there and a window or door is open. If you allow them in to your house, just the once, they can then force entry. The trick is to not allow them to even look through the door. I believe that non-payment of parking fines could also land you in prison if you are unable to pay, which is the cruz of the matter. It is not like refusing to pay your Bank Charges.
  12. Thanks Kotum. I have managed to file my claim now. I did notice that when you select the "I want to claim interest" button from Money Claim, a message pops up telling you most of it (not how to calculate it)
  13. Hi princess, I am wandering about your wording, particularly: What dates did you enter? Was it 6 years from todays date up to todays date? Also, where did you get the 11p a day from?
  14. You did well though Princess. I guess that is going to be their ploy, to give you longer to "stew" over things and to get you all flustered and annoyed. Stay strong. We are all wishing you well in your claim.
  15. If I could clap I would. That is a great letter and very official in its nature. I hope that you never hear from them again (except for the requested letter). Good luck.
  16. My wife has had her phone for 6 months (under my name). When she signed up, she was offered a free months worth of 'Breaking News' MMS messages, which she does want. 6 months later....Now.... I have just looked at the bill and she is being charged about £4 per month for this service, but has never actually recieved any 'Breaking news' alerts. I phoned the customer service desk to inform them and to ask for my money back for the 6 months that I have paid for a service and had not recieved (fair enough). The lady on the phone said that they will speak to her manager. When she comes back, she informs me that they can give me back 3 months worth as that is as far as they can go back. I informed her that that was not good enough and that I would graciously accept service credit or free alerts for the next 3 months, in addition to the 3 months credit. She informed me that that was not possible and that her manager had informed her that she could only refund 3 months worth. Naturally I asked to speak to the manager. The lady put me on hold, then came back and said that she would refund me the whole 6 months. I then asked if the service going forward would work. She informed me that she had left a note for her manager as he only works 9-5 . humm, she must have a psychic link to him. What annoys me is that I was not offered a full refund and had to ask more than once to get it. I was going to go in to the whole she-bang about sales of goods act etc and that I would be taking it to court etc, but luckily did not have to stretch that far.
  17. I have had another letter from LloydsTSb and not a moment too soon I might add, as I am due to start my Court Claim tomorrow.
  18. The Baliffs generally always get their money and what you currently owe will mount up. Unless you know you can get out of it, don't put it off, and pay the baliffs asap. A £40 fine will soon become a legally enforcable £600 fee, with baliff charges etc added on top.
  19. Congratulations Princess, a great result. I bet you are over the moon about the result. Your thread is superb, well done on commenting as much as you have. I think this thread is great in showing time lines etc and how to progress a claim. Well done again!
  20. How about 50% on top of your claim for a fair price! I agree the banks would still want to keep this under wraps. They will ask that you pay charges if you go overdrawn again. The nightmare never ends. Despite the fact that you have put all this effort in to get YOUR money back. Effectively, you get nothing out of it, nothing. If you win the case, you don't win, you break even. The millions of other people without the courage to claim lose. You lose the time and energy you have put in. If they want to shut you up, I would say that a fair payment is 50% of your claim on top of what is yours already.
  21. lol, I too am getting butterflies, and it is not my claim You would take a thief to court if they stole £40 from you, so why not the bank.
