  1. Ok. Should I put my home address on the letter? Cheers
  2. Is it worth doing all that when, as far ad I know, it's not been done properly. I've had no word from the original creditor to say it's been sold and 1st credit started phone calls before sending letters out and even then the letters have gone to my work.
  3. I don't have a address for 1st credit and I have not heard anything from The original creditor to say they have sold it on
  4. Found out who it is for, a credit card which have been difficult to deal with and finally started ignoring my letters. Last one I sent was a few months ago for a copy of a phone call back in February which pointed out they were in the wrong. Needless to say they ignored this request. I have been getting phone calls at home & mobile and have had 3 texts off them on my mobile. They have sent a letter, again, to my works address stating what it is for and that they demand me to contact them to arrange payment. What's the next step?
  5. Will they take them off the balance or refund the actual money to you?
  6. Yeah it is a old catalogue debt, she has 2 that I am paying off that she knows about. I figured that since she knows who they were and that they do need paying then it's only fair to pay them. I am not sure which catalogue it was without checking my records, but it was started to be paid last year or the year before at £10 per month lol.
  7. She does recognise some items on the statement, which leads her to assume it was a catalogue company. But that is all she knows.
  8. She has never heard of Redcats, the last time I got her credit record she got these letters from Lowells so she won't be happy if I get it again. If Redcats have raised a default in 2005, then surely Lowells cannot issue another Default regardless of the age?
  9. Hi I am paying one of my partners debts because it is less than 6 years and it was her debt, I am only paying it at £10 per month. Everything has been going fine, it goes out of my bank same day every month via Standing Order. Although we get the odd letter saying that we have fallen behind, I just assume its their system that's slow and by the time the letter gets to us then they will have had their payment. Yesterday she received the attached letter which confused me. I assume that they have transferred the debt to Arrow Global, but we need to make sure that all payments need to be directed to Fredrickson International. Do I need to go through the hassle of changing the Standing Order details? But if the account was transferred on 13th May 2011, why: A. Has it taken them 4 months to contact her, and B. How can they say that any payments made on this account after 31st December 2010 will be passed to Arrow Global, thats 5 months BEFORE they reassigned the debt. They also state that "Any payments made on this account after 31st December 2010 will be passed to Arrow Global Guernsey Limited and will be deducted from the current balance shown above", but there is no balance shown above. Some advice would be helpful. Many thanks
  10. Yesterday she receved the attached letter and 13 A3 pages of her statements. They are dated November 2004 to October 2005. Her last payment she actually made was on 24th March 2005, the following were added onto the account: 18 May 2005 - Admin Charge (Late Payment) 18 May 2005 - Payment Protection Scheme 15 June 2005 - Payment Protection Scheme 13 July 2005 - Payment Protection Scheme 10 August 2005 - n/a (There is a negative figure for the total balance) 10 August 2005 - Payment Protection Scheme 10 August 2005 - account transferred (a positive figure of the total balance) 19 October 2005 - Account Removed The only thing I have asked for is I CCA'd them because my partner had no idea who it was, and the CCA that the sent was a "generic" one which wasn't signed. I then sent a letter asking for proof of the debt and when the last payment was made on the account, they then sent copies of the last 13 statements. Obviously since the last payment was made on the account on 24th March 2005, it is over the 6 year limit and I should be able to issue them with a statute barred letter. Should I send the Statue Barred letter straight away?
  11. Be interesting when they start sending info. I'd like to know. But won't they continue to send at my works address !? Lol
  12. Oh and not moved house for nearly 5 years lol.
  13. An AQUA Credit Card, which i believe is part of Halifax. But this is not in arrears at all, i don't use it much and the Direct Debit is paid on time. I spoke to them last month and everything was fine. Have they bought from anywhere else? What are they like at dealing with / Agreeing a payment plan or a F and F agreement? I haven't heard of anything that has been passed on from any of my creditors.
  14. They haven't said as yet, I'll send you a PM.
  15. I've also had a email off them sent to my personal email address asking me to ring a number or reply to the email. I'm confused where they got my works address from, there has only been one thing that went to my works email and though I have been complaining to that company - more about not collecting things, I have never missed a payment as it's paid by Direct Debit that always gets paid.
  16. What do you think of BRIGADIER2JCS answer? Best post it from same town lol
  17. Should I write anything on it apart from their address?
  18. Hi I received a letter today at my works address saying that 1st Credit are attempting to contact NAME If you are the person then ring us for more info If you are not then please ring so we can correct our records If we do not here from you within 10 days of issue then we will assume that you are the individual we wish to contact and will of course ensure that all relevant corespondance is sent to you Any ideas what to do?
  19. UPDATE: They replied saying that their internal check validate that this debt is owed to my partner, but there is no notice of who it is to. Just that she apparently owes them money. They have ignored the last letter I sent to them. Now she has received a letter from Red Debt Collection Services stating that Lowell has passed the account details onto them so they can collect the £996.27 owed on their behalf. But there is still nothing to say the debt is hers or who the original debt is with. I moved in with her just under 6 years ago, so it is nothing within the last 5 years and 8 months. She has 2 other debts that I am paying off which she says she knows, but these 2 - £996.27 and the other just under £200 which turned up out of the blue from Lowell - she has no idea of. And Lowell are not being co-operative with who the debs are with. Can anyone help? I found a letter template on the BBC Watchdog website which I was going to use, but adapted it slightly with the wording in italics. The idea being is that if no payment has been made over 6 years ago then I know they are not allowed to chase the debt. Date Dear Sir or Madam Reference Original Account Number from Redcats Finance Ltd. I have no record of this debt with Redcats Finance Ltd. Please provide me with a copy of the original statement of the account showing exactly how the amount claimed has been calculated within 28 days of postmark of this letter, and also when the last payment was made on the account. If I do not receive such a statement within the specified time and you continue to contact me about this debt, I will make a formal complaint and will ask you to investigate this through your complaints procedure, requesting a reply within 28 days. I will then contact the Financial Ombudsman Service for advice if I am still not satisfied. Yours faithfully What do you think? I will be posting it by tomorrow (Friday 12th August 2011) if no-one has any comments
  20. Letter in post today, recorded delivery and unsigned. so the ball will be in their court!
  21. That's just what I thought, this still doesn't prove that anyone owes a debt.
