  1. Be aware of BCW ... I had a Provident loan and like you the agent stopped and there were all different kinds of arguments but it was passed to BCW who after a month were telephoning my landline 5-8 times a day, my mobile 5 times a day and my works number 2/3 times a day all from different numbers. They ignored the No Calls letter and i eventually took it up with both Trading Standards, OFT and the local police (who by the way do nothing as they claim it is a civil matter) They use mobile numbers, Skype numbers and numbers from different locations around the UK as well as the non-geographical numbers
  2. I am now considering sending the following letter before action. Could someone please advise if ok or make some amendments. Thanks Complaints Santander Credit Cards Dear sir or madam. LETTER BEFORE ACTION Your Ref: xxxxxxxxxx - Late Payments And Over Limit Fees Thank you for your letter dated xx-Oct-2014 rejecting my claim on the grounds of being fair and proportionate as being advised by the Ombudsman. As your system probably adds thousands of these charges each day I challenge this statement and put you to strict proof of the charge of £12 being fair and proportionate when you consider that these charges … Late Payment Fees Over Limit Fees are automatically added to the account by the system with no human interaction with the exception of two people at the end of the day lugging bags to the postal collection point. I would like you to reconsider your position on this before I consider taking any further action to recover the losses stated in the initial complaint which has now obviously increased the interest due to the time taken to resolve. A quick response is expected from you and due to my current address I authorise the use of the following email address as available for use for this complaint (email@email.com), however as the account is closed please forward a cheque to ........................................... Failure to respond within 35 days will result in further action be taken through the courts to recover the said sum without further notice to you
  3. Have a reply from the Credit Card part of this lot rejecting my claim for the £12 Late Fees and Over The Limit Fees on the grounds that they consider it fair and proportional to what it costs the bank I have a question concerning how the enter these fees and charges onto the account ... When your payment is late (that is it has not been processed onto your account) by the due date is the charge automatically applied without any human interaction, that is the system automatically enters the charge Same with over the limit fees. If this is correct I cannot see how Santander or any other bank can say that a £12 charge is proportionate and fair as the system may churn out thousands that day, yes okay there is the collection of the mail at the end of the day but I have worked in a big bank back in 1990 and even then the post was automated (printed, folded, enveloped, sealed and sorted into postal areas) automatically and it took two persons 10 mins to get it to the post man.
  4. Received email from a friend stating that a DCA tried calling to my old address and they were provided with my new address and believe it or not - I am I am an ex pat 8,000 miles away from my homeland in South East Asia - I get another letter from Past Due concerning this BT Bill, but, this does not have may, or could it has WILL take you to court, What a laugh, they want to take me to court, they are welcome to but they will have to do so though a court nearest to me. Cant see them sending a representative to the court in ... ..... and cant even consider that they will get anywhere as a Lawyer friend says ... Not one Lawyer or Judge in ..... ..... will even consider action should it be taken as they are not experts in English Law. As I am now retired, married with four step children and living on a private pension they would have a problem squeezing 1 Peso out of me anyway and as I own nothing they will get nothing.
  5. Print your signature with a small font e.g. calibri 6.5 point and sign your name over the top so that your name appears in the middle of the signature
  6. Hi ims21 Apologies for jumping in on this thread with a question but it is only a simple one with one answer Can you please point me to the information relating to your quote ... "This would only apply if they still owned the account at that point in time" as JD Williams sold my account to Lowells and then when my PPI was won sent them the cheque. I would like to recover this if it is possible just to hack off both parties.
  7. Thanks for all the replies, only question I have at present is ... Do I send all the letters to the registered address or are there individual addresses for each account. Thanks in advance.
  8. DX Many thanks for the link. I will manage to read it in the next day or so. Currently only on a mobilke phone
  9. DX Many thanks, just need to sort my Bank Accounts now
  10. Hi, First off apologies as I do not have a UK keyboard as I am now an ex pat hence the format of GBP Please note I do have two other threads here re: Charges and have been advised to staret a thread for each I am about to make a claim for the charges imposed on me by Santander Credit Card although the charges are only GBP12 each. (can anyone confirm the GBP12 is acceptable please). The letter I have written but not yet posted ... Dear Sir or Madam, Ref: Account number: [xxxxxx] I would like to request a refund of all the default charges that have been applied to my account. Under the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 charges must reflect administration costs and cannot be punitive. I believe that the attached details of charges are unlawful as they do not reflect the true cost of going into an unauthorised overdraft. You have taken GBPxxx.xx from me .I would like to request repayment of this sum plus GBPxxx.xx interesticon at xx.x% per annum Please repay this money in full. If this is not done, I will begin a claim against you for the full amount, plus interest and my costs. Yours faithfully, Is there any changes that I need to make to this letter, Many thanks in advance

Can someone in admin/site team please amend the title to include Bank Accounts. Many thanks
  13. Hi, First off apologies as I do not have a UK keyboard as I am now an ex pat hence the format of GBP I am about to make a claim for the charges imposed on me by Santander. There are four accounts with a value of almost GBP3,000 although on one account there are only GBP12.00 charges which I understand are acceptable (can anyone confirm the GBP12 is acceptable please). The accounts are ... 2 x Bank Accounts, 1 x Credit Card Account, 1 x Mortgage Account The letter I have written for all four accounts are the same format ... 14. Hi Living in South East Asia. I require my Credit File. Can I obtain this on line or do I need to send by very snail mail Thanks in advance.
  15. You will get much better advice with the guys here. The CAB are useless in some towns and cities with reference to Bailiffs.
  16. Hi, All belong to the JD Williams Empire and report (as far as I am aware) under JD Williams name
  17. Think yourself lucky you got a reply. after 103 days with no response to my request and to my reminder I had to go to the ICO to get them to acknowledge they had received my request. The ICO ordered them to get it to me within 14 days which in itself would be a feat as I am an expat living is SE Asia and post usually takes up to 35 working days (Sat and Sun excluded).
  18. Where I am an ex pat I have to carry an ID card. This card is invaluable for ID purposes and there is no forging. All the following details are on a centralised computer and when the card is swiped by Immigration it connects to the centralised computer and downloads all the details. Name, Address, Country of Birth, Date of Birth, Date entered Country, Visa Type and Validity, Height, Weight, Ethnic Origin, Hair Colour, Eye Colour, Blood group. As well as this information it also hold a digital eye scan, Fingerprints So how anyone can forge digital eye scans and fingerprints that come from a centralised unit would need to be an IT genius. So I do believe that ID cards are well worth thiewr weight in gold.
  19. Had a problem with Provident and C K Edrupts. Provident Defaulted me and never gave me the full 14 days to put things right then Edrupts got involved and stated that they had the right to place a default even though I did not get the statutory allowed time. I challenged the Defaults and did not hear anymore then Edrupts actually issued court papers to me until I challenged the legality of their claim. They passed the papers back across the desk to thier mate. I found out later that the account has been written off due to the incompetence of both parties
  20. Hi Hope to get a little bit of info regarding the use of Pegasus 4.7 Email client and settings for Hotmail. I have both Pegasus 4.7 and Mercury Mail Transporter 4.32 installed. Firstly I need the basics of where to find and how do I create the account in Pegasus then all the settings for this clumsy hotmail. IMAP servers are very easy but POP3 is a different kettle of muck. Many thanks in advance for any help given.
  21. No longer living in the UK but wishinh to keep up with the latest in Debt Recovery as I have a very large portfolio of debt. There was at one time some RSS feed. So they still exist and if so how do I find them Thanks
  22. Good evening BankFodder (well it is evening where I am now) This happened in May last year. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?305692-Moorcroft-DCA-Doorstepper-posed-as-a-court-bailiff-now-a-police-fraud-investigation
  23. This would show up on your Disclosures Scotland - Extended (CRB Check) unless you were completely cleared. However, on the basic Disclosures Scotland only items from Cautions onwards will be shown and nothing for interviews. (this includes arrests even if not charged)
  24. Coniff Thanks for the above info. I am afraid that where I live the Data Protection is even stricter than the EU as you require Police clearance to obtain the basic data. I have a clean Police record where I live and have the certificate which expires after one month so I will have to pay again for the clearance. Seems as though whatever you wish to see in the UK every one is s**t scared and use the DPA as an excuse to avoid any possible problems for themselves.
  25. Agree with that but I still cannot access my credit file from SE Asia. I cannot pay for it online as the online system does not recognise any of my address but it is registered at my bank in the UK. I am also unable to telephone for it. All as they claim @Unable to provide you with the details you require due to the Data Protection Act.
