  1. I would have thought the difficulty would be placing blame on the bridge, has it happened to other cars, could your springs be faulty? I think this may be difficult
  2. Have you tried ringing the court? Northampton directs you to a number that says "This is a test message this number is inactive" and Norwich County court is constantly engaged.
  3. there is a valid defence and yes did ask for it to be heard in the local court, the court it has been transferred to is local to no one that's what doesn't make sense. Ther claimant is Asset Collections & Investigations ltd
  4. A claim was issued and a judgement was obtained, the original claim was never seen, that was the basis of the n244, it was asked to be sent to the local court but for some reason people think that Norwich and Ipswich are next door to each other. Need it to be heard in Ipswich is there a form that can get this transferred to the local court/
  5. I have filed this on behalf of my son who is chronically physically disabled, he lives independently. He is unable to retrieve or open post so his carers have to do it and any issues they call me. This is something we haven't seen my son doesn't even recognise it, I have contacted the company who issues the summons and obtained a default judgement this is for an amount of approximately £325. The company will not reveal any information to me due to data protection, my son finds it difficult to speak so had no choice but to file an N244 so we can ask them face to face what this is and not something someone did in his name which is a possibility. The court it has been transferred to is no where near where my son or I live and even further from the claimants. I think it is a mistake. how do I get this transferred to a local court?
  6. Apologies if this has been posted to the wrong forum. I have filed an N244 on behalf of someone I know, just received a N271 Notice of transfer of proceedings. the problem is it has been transferred to a court absolutely miles away can I get it reassigned to a more ocal court?
  7. Today I received a letter from a DCA. The letter stated "We have not written to you for some time as we have had to locate your address. We would like you to contact us on XXXX XXXX to confirm your intentions regarding the outstanding balance on your account" I can not remember what this is or could be related to and I am convinced this is over 6 years old. how should I play this phone or letter and what should I say? Grateful for any advice
  8. This is a judgement by Asset collections they claim its for a loan, he has no idea. dx100, I have told him not to worry but being a vulnerable person he is, he has a tv and xbox his only possesions
  9. Apparently the voucher has been used up on the lens
  10. My son is physically disabled has no muscle strength. Found an unopened letter from a court, normally the carers open the post as he is unable physically to do this. this is a CCJ entered against him for a loan we are not sure where this originated from and it is for about £350. My son has great difficulty talking so I normally do this for him. He is terrified that bailiffs will turn up, the only possessions he has is a tv and an xbox. I have rung the DCA who generated this CCJ and they wont let me speak on his behalf unless he emails them , this he has done but they are saying it is not the email they have on file and suggested I talk to Citizens Advice. What are my options on this, we are not convinced this is his loan in the first place he did have some problem friends. Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated
  11. Disabled and unemployed person needs help, they need new glasses the optician visited him at home to do the sight test but stated he cant get frames on NHS is this correct?
  12. I am writing on behalf of a friend of mine. He has bought a car about 6 months ago, he is very happy with the drive. He booked it in for a service and the dealer pointed out the right hand indicator was flashing red the car is due an mot next month so he booked it in for a replacement. He recived a call from the dealer who sent him pictures of when they removed the bumper substantial damage was found, it seems the car had been in an accident and repairs were made and what was hidden by the bumper is in a pretty bad shape. He spoke to the finance company who said it is nothing to do with them, I think it is and would be grateful if someone could confirm. He has emailed the original dealer he bought the car from copying in the finance company and he is waiting to hear. Who is actually responsible for this and what steps should he take? Thanks
  13. This is what the website says "Your Age The risk of you defaulting on a credit agreement generally decreases with age - but it's not a straight line relationship. What this means is that when you are relatively young, your credit score is adversely affected by your age. As you reach middle age, your credit score is starting to have an increasingly better influence from your age. Your middle years are when you are typically at your most Credit Active and statistics prove that in your early middle age you are best equipped to pay your commitments as they fall due. As you get older, the financial commitments that come from a growing family often present a heavy drain on your disposable income and your Credit Score will temporarily lower. In late middle age, once the nest has flown and income is peaking - typically when you are between 45 and 55 years of age - the impact of age on your credit score becomes strong again. Only when you are nearing pensionable age does the positive effect start to lessen, as your income is typically reduced. Even though this may not accurately reflect your own circumstances, it is true for the significant majority. As with all elements of a properly derived credit scorecard, the impact of your age on your credit score is proven statistically from a very large sample of consumers."
  14. I have just turned 60 and my credit file has this as a negative, is this right?
  15. I am not sure but is a V5 proof of ownership?
  16. they are a shambles, I once went through the crossing forgetting to pay, I paid three days later which was late. I then got a notice claiming for a crossing eventhough there was a credit they wouldnt apply it so had to pay again. And dont start me on the anti clockwise dartford crossing *&*(*(&
  17. I am posting this on behalf of my son. He worked for a car dealership selling new cars for multiple brands. As part of his job he was given a company car some weeks ago it was vandalised by someone who kicked a dent in the front wing and it was going to be settled through the company's insurance. He has found a role at another dealership and he handed his notice in. His last day was yesterday and he was spoken to y the MD who demanded he pays £750 to repair the vehicle, my son rang his own insurance company who said the repair would cost less than £500 and his deductible was £500 so no point in putting it through his insurance. The MD by now was getting very abusive and irate and was demanding £750 immediately, my son said he did not have that available but would when he got paid end of this month. The MD stated he would put a court order through in 7 days if he did not settle. My son in his ignorance and fear signed saying he would pay the £750. He signed this in duress, so my question is this document valid due to the nature of how the signature was forced out of him, why cant they go through their insurance company and if he has to pay surely he should be presented with two estimates. This company is known for its bullying, what I need to know is what can my son do about this, any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  18. If and when the pound strengthens these companies will reduce their price to reflect this? I dont think so, its an excuse to squeeze money
