  1. Question. How exactly does the LL get access to the storage? Do they go through your flat, have access via another flat, climb over a wall, etc etc?
  2. Deposit MUST be protected since 2007, so you should ask the 3 schemes if it is with them. Gas safety MUST be done before you move in and MUST be done within 12 months of the last one. If not the landlord is breaking the law and this in particular is dealt with VERY severely. For your own safety, contact Gas Safe and tell them it hasn't been checked. Your life could literelly depend on it.
  3. No, it was the Triumph car. Toooo Shay.
  4. Tell them you want a C-max, S-max or Galaxy otherwise you will hire one and bill them. It is entirely their fault you are without your car and it is not unreasonable to demand a car of the same spec or higher.
  5. You could have sent them a copy of 'war & peace'. It might have been briefer.
  6. Excellent advise as usual from conniff. I will second what he said. A car sold by a dealer MUST be roadworthy and any faults within the first 6 months are deemed to have existed at the time of sale. Like it or not, he is legally bound to deal with this or face prosecution. I would send a copy of your letter, together with details of the situation to trading standards as well.
  7. Because the first time it slipped through the net. All items coming into the UK from outside EU are subject to import duty and VAT.
  8. Tell bamk this is not authorised and demand them to do a chargeback.
  9. Parking Charge Notice: According to Wikipedia, the Oxford English Dictionary and Noel Edmunds houskeepr, parking charge notice means : Tosser who must not get paid. It is a [problem]. DO NOT PAY, DO NOT REPLY, DO NOT PHONE. Nerxt scamogram will be from an alleged solicitor, which is in reality the same knuckle scraping f***wit using another name.
  10. i agree, but the OP did say the floors were up. What they should have said was floor covering. Had they said so I would be in agreement with MrShed.
  11. I would not be allowing a claim on my insurance. The claim should be made agaisnt the drivers insurance. If he hasn't got any then the third party can claim as an uninsured driver claim. Why should you be paying? In theory you should have checked his insurance, but I would not be allowing a claim against me or my insurance if I was not driving.
  12. Appeal on the basis that the contravention did not occur. It isn't adropped kerb.
  13. I blasted fell for that hook, line and stinker didn't I?
  14. Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. Post #1. The OP saw the car listed in EBAY MOTORS, which is on ebay listing pages as a classified ad and thus falls under Ebay rules. The OP made an offer and subsequently decided (for whatever reason) not to proceed. Ebay has a very special rule called 'Non binding bid policy'. Here is the basics: Policy overview Certain eBay listings involve non-binding bids, such as items listed in Property and eBay Motors. A non-binding bid isn't a formal contract between the buyer and the seller, but it does represent a buyer's serious interest in buying the item. Insincere bidding isn't allowed on eBay. Now, Mr Perpetual motion will no doubt try to twist this around, but a bid is an offer to buy. if your bid is either the highest winning bid or an accepted bid, it is a sale. Albeit non binding if Property or vehicles. The Op made an offer which is eaxctly the same as a bid as far as Ebay is concerned.
  15. Laws are still guidance? That has made my day. It is like the blind leading the blind. You don't live in Bestwood by any chance do you?
  16. Well, I do have a life so I haven't read all of the 201 posts on this thread The OP did indeed make an offer on ebay. Whether it is in classifieds or not, if it is on ebay it is on ebay. he made and offer. it was on ebay. That means he made an offer on ebay. A bit like smack and gob. Which isn't a million miles away from some people I should think.
  17. There is no such offence as 'stopping in a box junction when your exit is not clear'. Green & Mean is correct, the offence is ENTERING and stopping in a box junction when your exit is not clear The purpose of the photograph is to identify the vehicle. It is not to show evidence of the actual offence otherwise it would need moving pictures. How else would a single or even a series of pictures show whether you were stopped, nearly stopped, going backwards etc.
  18. If you delve into Ebay correctly, you will find that final bids and accepted offers are binding, EXCEPT in a couple of areas. One of which just happens to be MOTORS. Whichever way you cut the mustard, this Ebay bidder is NOT obliged to buy and won't be.
  19. LOL. I was a little after the Spitfires thanks.
  20. She cannot create an inventory retrospectively to be used as evidence of condition and or items when you moved in. As Mr Shed advises, new carpet for old is not on the cards.
