Ignore any communications with them, as they will try all sorts of tatics that borders on harrasment.
I think they have given up on me by now (12 months later). No court action, no baliffs, no CCJ's dispite the all the comedy threat letters. If they could take me to court, you would think they would have done it long before now.
Under contract law they have to proove....
1. who the driver was. You are not obliged to tell them anything.
2. there was a contract in the first place, that was broken.
3. what their losses were as a result of the breach... so 10min of parking is about 20p, not £40.
All they they have done is paid £2.50 to the DVLA, and have written to the registered keeper.
You will only get a CCJ if they take you to court, you loose and and refuse to pay up. They will not take you to court, as they have no evidence.
There is no appeals process, dispite what it says.
Ignore every threat they send you. It's costing them money each time to send you a threat. I reckon they must have spent about £200 on me alone when you take into account staffing costs etc.
If you search for my thread on here you can see what will happen (or not happen) in the next 12 months.
