  1. Thanks for that BM, previous advice that I've had, suggests a letter is preferable to an Email, but all information is useful. Sam
  2. Hello, As I wrote in somebody elses' thread, [my apologies for that] I've been harassed by "PE" since January/February, for being a bit late back from shopping with two disabled people at "Morrisons" in Stone, Staffordshire, back in December. Anyway, as a result, all of my disabled people, who I ferry to and from the shops, decided to boycott "Morrisons", and, so far, their takings from us, as of today, 23 July 2013, [groceries, cafe and filling station], are down by £9477.18 I am partway through a letter to their CEO, to be sent "recorded, signed for", when I locate him/her, and an address. Now, the letter before action from "PE", states that, my "appeal" failed. I didn't send an appeal, not to "PE", or to Morrisons!! I did send a letter of complaint to Morrisons, [complaint, you should note, not appeal], in which I requested a copy of the document which gave "PE" permission to operate on Morrisons car park - no copy was received, although I did get a rather mealy mouthed reply about "providing receipts". What? after a few weeks, when I'd been away on holiday, and the majority of the receipts would not have been mine, anyway, they were issued to my disabled "charges" I wrote a further letter reminding them of "The Equality Act" So, if "PE" take me to court, and the first thing that I do is to demand the copy of my "appeal", they wouldn't be able to produce one - the only thing that they might be able to produce, would be my letters to Morrisons - would either of these actions cause their case to fail? Either on the grounds of their "consideration" of a non existant "appeal" letter, proving them to be liars, or by trying it on with a letter, patently not written to them, but passed on by Morrisons, and that would surely have Data Protection issues for both outfits? Comments and advice welcomed, please. Sam
  3. I've now received a letter before action from "PE". I'm halfway through a letter to Morrison's CEO, but I'm now going to start a new thread - I think that they may have dropped a "goolie", and I want the opinion of some of you on the matter, please? Sam
  4. I've been harassed by "PE" since January/February, for being a bit late back from shopping with two disabled people at "Morrisons" in Stone, Staffordshire, where "PE" ply their grubby little "trade". Anyway, as a result, all of my disabled people, who I ferry to and from the shops, decided to boycott "Morrisons", and, I don't suppose anyone from "Morrisons" board will read this, [in spite of me being a shareholder], but so far, their takings from us are down by £7156.20p, and that doesn't include, up to this Thursday, 18th July, 24 trips to their filling station for petrol, £950.00p, and 24 fills of Diesel, totalling £1008.00p Total? £9114.20p. Perhaps I should Email "Morrisons" CEO, and ask him/her if "PE" are providing him with sufficient alternative revenue from their "trade" - whoops! there's that word again !! Sam
  5. Thank you Mariner, we obviously need investigate further, and yes, the LL, and his family are from the Country that was home to "Bin Liner". All of the owner/residents are white/British. Pug
  6. The insurance arrangements are in the lease, see para 2 in post# 1 Repairs are the agents responsibility, he is the agents for his two sons, who are the owners, and the total is to be split 8 ways, [4 in the case of the other block] When the roof needed complete replacement about seven years ago, he wouldn't cooperate, saying to us that the roofs of "his" properties didn't leak! Some of us had water ingress each time it rained - after 18 months, we made out own arrangements, when "our" contractors started work, he then said that his two sons owned a roofing firm, and that they had just ordered the materials, [for the "non leaking" roofs?], and that we should pay him, or he would take us to "The Country Court" - that's not a spelling error, by the way. As he wouldn't pay his whack, we paid it, [£3000]. I have a letter from him stating that he considered the matter of the roof replacement, to be "racialist"! He was arrested in May, for harrasment of another owner, and was given a "Criminal Caution", so he's skating on thin ice, he had one criminal conviction before his family bought the leases, and I understand a few CCJ are against his name, although that is only what I've been told . Can anybody tell me if we can arrange our own insurance, please? Sam
  7. Thanks HB. raydetinu, No, no other charges are in the lease, that's why he's refusing to arrange the insurance. His idea of running the show is to get the insurance, divide by ten, [instead of 12, so that we would have to pay his portion], then stick 20% on top, as a self invented "admin fee", and tells us that we aren't entitled to a copy of the insurance. That's why he's never had any money from us since he bought the leases, we keep asking for it to be done in a business like manner, but this isn't his way, it seems! Sam
  8. I live in a leasehold flat, purchased in 2003, it is one in a block of eight. The lease is very simple, I pay £50 per annum ground rent to the freeholder, and he has to arrange buildings insurance, divide the premium by 8, and collect the payment, the contents insurance is my responsibility. Eight years ago, the freehold was purchased by a different landlord, there is another block of four, further along the street, and he bought those, too, he owns one flat, in each block, which he rents out. He is now refusing to insure the properties, [which I would think is a breach of the lease], but my question is, can I, and the remainder of the residents, insure our properties? Enquiries at two insurance agencies, reveal that they have conflicting views and are in utter confusion - what is the definitive answer, please? Sam
  9. I can't help you with your questions, but it's possible that the claim company did not get your details from your insurers. Last year, I received a phone call enquiring about my accident, and I was addressed by name, and the company rep, a lady, knew my address. After a bit of verbal exchange, I admitted that I had, indeed, been in an accident - in 1967! I think that they had obtained my name from the phonebook, or from a mailing list, and were "chancing their arm", trying to find someone to conspire with them. I bid the "lady" good bye, but with two different words! Sam
  10. I wonder why he didn't bother to discover the "missing" mileage, before he agreed to buy the car? Sam
  11. Why are you complaining? Your bumpers were obviously working - 100 percent! Sam
  12. Why would you want the umbrella? Ah yes! It's for when you are driving with the hood down, and it starts to rain...... [OK, OK, I'm going, I'll get me coat......] Sam
  13. I believe that hospitals will provide transport, car service or ambulance, if necessary, but your return time needs to be a bit "flexible"!
  14. A hospital porter, [do they still have them?], to collect the patient from disabled bay, with a wheelchair, perhaps?
  15. Most of these PPC's should not be allowed to use the English language; on the grounds that it is obviously too much of an intellectual challenge for them. Sam
  16. Or, bay's that are marked, "Disabled drivers only", once I leave the vehicle, I'm no longer a driver, so just how do I get from the side of the car, to a position outside the bay! Or, if I have a passenger with me, and he/she is not disabled, how exactly do they stand [i know, it was intended!] What about my usual passenger, she also holds a blue badge in her own right, and is far more disabled than I, so she becomes a "Disabled passenger", and has no rights in the bay, at all. And what about if she drives her [Motability], car in, and I drive it out - ooooh! I could go on, and on! Sam
  17. Try this, old chap, I've attempted to put punctuation in, and sort out a few spellings for you, but I cannot understand the part that I've enclosed in brackets - good luck! Sam "Why are EURO car parks ltd trying to fine me, as it was not me that parked my car, in their car park? It is them that has to say who is the person who was driving, and when the the tickets are wet, as the one on my car was, they are not readable, they have nothing on. When I phoned them, there was nobody there to answer their phone. I am a pensioner, and if they want to take me to court they can, as i have been on holiday, and have just got the letter, well after the 14 days. [[[so it looks like have not seen this one on here before so will put it CONTROL accounts PLC from bromsgrove Worcestershire B60 4FD]]] It will not affect my credit as i am of old school, do not go for credit, only have what i can pay for."
  18. And even before I've got stuff photocopied, and collected together, another one from "Thick as Zinc"! It's addressed to my friend, and states that they they have been through their correspondence and cannot locate an SAR request by me, and that they have put the £10.00 [my SAR payment] into her account! The SAR request was the letter that was with the cheque, the one that they cannot locate, [signed for on 5th March, and I have the name of the person that signed, too] - isn't this fraud on their part? Sam
  19. And a reply from the ICO's office today, with a case number! They have requested a copy of the SAR that I sent to Zinc, proof of delivery, and the reply that I had from Glasgow - I am able to provide all of those, and I will, this week, I even have the name of the person who signed for it. Sam
  20. In my case, a "request to pay" was issued through an ANPR system; I pointed out to Morrisons that, as part of the system and the desire for maximum revenue, no checks can be made using this method, [it was my car on that day, which isn't "Motability registered] I've not had any further "reminders" from PE, but no notification of withdrawal of request" from Morrisons, either. Too ashamed, I expect, two of my "Caree's" plan a "big shop" today, and I'm getting stuff on behalf of another, so Morrisons lose out on approx £250 today. You would think that they would have a representative on this site, like Vodaphone and Kwikfit, etc, who wish to preserve their reputation, particularly as they recently announced that their profits are down - perhaps their profits are not affecting them as much as they are saying? Have to go now - got people to care for - unlike some supermarkets! Sam
  21. I could understand better if the parking charge had been "Cancelled" - but "Reversed"? - does this mean that they are going to pay you instead - I'll have some of that! Sam
  22. "surely if you dont feel 90 minutes is long enough. you should be speaking to Asda that they are in danger of losing your custom" Morrisons in Stone, Staffordshire have already lost a lot of money from me, and my "Caree's" [No, don't look it up, it's a better description of those whom I look after, than you'll ever come up with] Amongst other things, I am a professional carer for the disabled and vulnerable - registered with two Councils and an NHS trust - I'm also a driver for Motability, and I live outside the "5 mile limit" that is supposed to apply to such drivers. And I hold a blue badge in my own right, as it happens. Just before Christmas, into Morrisons, big crowds, couldn't park in the yellow spaces, two disabled people on this occasion, and both eating in the cafe at different times. Ever been halfway down the checkout queue and a "Caree" needs the loo - NOW!!, not in ten minutes, but now? You have to get somebody to guard your trolley, [have you tried taking it through before you've paid?] The security people don't lke it, and don't care, either, "More than my job's worth" Then a ticket from Parking Eye appears, so I wrote to Morrisons - letter passed to some desk jockey, "Erm, can you send us till receipts?" "No I bloody can't, the till receipt's belong to my "Caree's", they aren't mine, and why should I?" Then my "Caree's" decided that they didn't see why I, and they, should be treated this way, and decided to boycott the place. We've found Asda, Sainsburys' [good cafe], Aldi and Lidl [the mischievious twins!], and eateries in many other places. So I wrote and told them - got no reply - so I suppose that the desk jockey was too embarrassed to reply - or too ashamed. Morrisons, your Stone branch takings are down by a little over £6000 now from us - but I don't suppose you care - we are only disabled customers, aren't we? Sam
  23. OK DX, thanks for that advice, a letter will be typed tomorrow, and posted first thing on Tuesday. I shall keep the CAG community informed. Sam
