  1. Excellent result and many thanks for coming back to report the result. regards
  2. Only, final final warning, then very final warning to go, or have I missed one out? regards
  3. I agree that is the problem, You need to educate your company not to give out private details to any third party that simply asks for them. A PPC is NOT a lawful authority so your private details should never be revealed to them. Perhaps it's incompetence on the companies behalf or perhaps they need educating, either way you need to advise them. regards
  4. Hopefully they will give up, count their blessings and go away. Unless specifically mentioned in the parking notice, your local Council policy is absolutely nothing to do with your present situation. You cannot introduce something into a contract unless both sides agree. I assume you do not have the parking companies agreement to use the council policy in the contract you agreed to when you paid a sum towards the invoice? Personally I would not be so sure a court would 'laugh the matter out', you have agreed a charge and paid only part of the sum agreed. I, as advised would ignore them from now on and hope the don't commence proceedings. regards
  5. Surfboy, Also don't forget the several 'Final Warning' letters. If these numpties had a case does anybody believe they would issue all these threats of court and final warnings, it would be one letter then proceedings issued. They dont because it is all bluff and bluster. regards
  6. I suppose by paying some money, though not what they have demanded you have accepted their contract, I assume you would be liable for their claim if they pursued it that far. For anyone else, please DO NOT CONTACT any of these parking companies and NEVER send them money. regards
  7. Private Eye (1299) carries the story about more of excel's woes when they attempt court, see the article below: regards
  8. Hi Al, Nice to see you are still on Christmas card terms with your 'friends' at OPC:lol: regards
  9. I have now had 35 of these speculative invoices, 16 from Parking Eye (Hi guys:wave:) Rather sad to say nothing more than silly threatening letters, on the plus side the hamster has enough bedding for the next 12 months. regards
  10. Wade, Please do not worry about 'debt collectors' they are people, usually someone who makes the tea in the office, who have absolutely no power to do anything than send silly letters that mean nothing. I feel you have already done too much contacting, they now think they have a live fish on the hook, but what is done is done. Would suggest you go for the ignore everything route from now. regards
  11. Hi Ims, Yes they have provided a transaction history which to be honest does not mean a thing to me. The bank is HSBC. It was a loan account between the period of, 17th July 2006 - 31st August 2007. They have stated the following: "With regards to the loan agreement this is not held in a structural filing system i.e. in files referenced with your clients' names or account details and is therefore outside the scopeof the Data Protection Act '98. We are satisfied that this procedure meets with the Information Commission's requirement". regards
  12. Hi Guys, I used the template letter on the forum for a SAR to the bank for all details they hold on me.I specifically added to the template that I required a copy of all my bank statements, as well as loan accounts and any insursance that was sold with these accounts. I have received the banks response today, and there is no statements or any sign of any insurance policies that have been sold to me. I specifically applied for the statements as I have recently moved house and for the life off me I cannot find them. Any advice on my next move would be greatly appreciated. regards
  13. Didn't Minister Chris Huhne get his wife (Mrs Huhne) to take his speeding points? regards
  14. You should change your avatar to : Mrs Huhne:-) regards
  15. As I said earlier don't get too carried away with the emotional side to this story, forget about failing to protect tenants and breach of contract just stick to the main story of parking. I would suggest the other aspects you would hope to claim for are usually outside the remit of the ordinary man in the street and you would therefore need proper legal advice. regards
  16. They must have admitted being the driver at the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! regards
  17. If you have not found out already your 'appeal' will be turned down and they will insist upon payment. DO NOT get into any further communication with them, you will now be the recipient of ever increasing demands threatening all kinds or dire consequences, just ignore them and get on with your life. regards
  18. DA8IWR People get annoyed when you talk about members of this forum giving unqualified advice and being 99% wrong. I have had 33 of these requests for money and completly ignored everything the ppc's sent me and do you know what has happened, absolutely nothing. Your qualifications and experience in this field are.......? regards
