  1. Weird Al, I give way to your superior knowledge on this subject. Just a point, could the original poster send the company a statutory demand, which is quite effective against companies? best regards
  2. I understand your frustration, but it is definately in your parents interest to have a proper settlement based upon the pain and suffering at the time, during the course of this period and how it will effect their future lives. If all the medical examinations have come to an end I would think that is why your parents solicitor have issued proceedings against the opic, to bring the matter to a conclusion. Unfortunately insurance companies try to get away with paying as least amunt of compensation possible. I would expect that they will probably try and settle with your parents before the matter comes to court, but if they dont and the Judge thinks they have been unduly delaying maters he may well punish them with an increased payout, sadly its in the hands of thre solicitors and the wheels of justice turn very slowly.
  3. Hi Bartlett, Sorry to hear about the horrific accident your parents were involved in, could you answer a few questions to help us help you; Did the Police get involved? Did the take any action agaisnt the other driver? Were there any independent witnesses? Are your parents represented by a solicitor? Reading from your post it could be that your parents ongoing medical problems is the reason that things have not yet beenfinalised. Usually the insurance companies want a final medical report on your parents so that they can settle the claim in full. Your parents have the option of asking for an interim payment until the matter is finalised. best regards
  4. Hi, Why would you hand yourself into the police for questioning? I am surprised the officer has told you that they are tracking your mobile telephone as this would defeat the object of them obtaining any evidence, because if you know about them tracking you, you are hardly likely to do anything wrong. Please don't just hand yourself over to the Police, if they have evidence of an offence, and its serious enough, then they can warn you to attend, although you are not legally obliged to conform. DO NOT ATTEND THE POLICE STATION WITHOUT A SOLICITOR. I would be tempted, if interviewed by the police to listen to what they say and ask, but refuse to answer any questions, remember they HAVE to prove you have committed and offence, you dont have to prove your innocence. Don't be sucked into talking with phrases like, its your chance to give your side of the strory' or, 'anything you say in your defence can only help you'. And the one really not to fall for is the old, 'if you've got nothing to hide' story. best regards
  5. Hi Ward, Taking someone to the small claims court is a simple process and can even be done online. This site has many references to the procedure. As stated it is a simple process and I wouldnt bother with a solicitor on the face of it you have an easy case. I would personally hold on to the equipment until paid, dont let the boss threaten you with the police for holding onto the equipment, it is a civil matter and nothing to do with the police. If the police do get involved tell them the equipment is held in leu of a debt that is lawfully owed by the company to you and that you have no intention of permantly depriving the lawful owner of that equipment, which will be returned once the debt owed to you is paid. best regards
  6. Hi, JUst read your post, what a terrible way to treat employees. I think you may have a case of constructive dismissal although there are wiser people on this site who will no doubt advise you accordingly. I think though there are timescales involved in starting a claim with an industrial tribunal. How long ago did you resign? Wish you the very best of luck and you seem to be doing all the right things. best regards
  7. I agree with the other posters, with under 12 months employment with this company, she does not have the protection of other workers. I would however, be inclined to push them to prove this alleged theft, as on the face of it, there is certainly no evidence to support a charge of theft. If your daughter said she left the money, it is for them company to prove that didnt happen. The word of the witness would be looked upon as shaky at best, I don't think the Police would be too keen to get involved, and even if they did any half witted brief could probably shred the prosecution evidence. best regards and good luck
  8. Hi Old Andrew, I didn't wish to revive all the bitterness I was just making comment that it got a bit nasty in places and thats not what we are about. Or, I don't believe it is. I can see both sides of peoples argument here but dislike the aggressive tone displayed by some, I believe it could be counterproductive and may put people off posting. regards to all
  9. Children lets keep it civil, everyone is falling out and trying to gain points over each other, its like lreading the minutes to Prime Ministers question time. Come on guys you are better than this if you can't help/support the OP, just have you say and back off.
  10. VIRGIN pre-pay Mastercard has NO monthly fee, which is one better than some which charge as much as £5 a month fee whether you use the card or not. Also if you continually don't have the funds on your card to cover this monthly fee, when renewal time arrives you DON'T get a replacment.

  17. The so called, Jason Evans of Ruthbridge has so far sent me 3 letters with various threats of bankruptcy. This guy does not exist, you will notice it is a computer generated signature. I tried not to laugh too much when Ruthbridge told me in one of their letters tht they are not going to communicate with me any further, then, 5 days later they sent me another letter with more threats. People, Ruthbridge are a joke, they are trying it on and relying on scaring you into giving them your hard earned, don't fall for it. Happy to donate to a worthy cause thats why I donated to CAG
  18. Hi All, Many thanks for what you do to help people. I can only speak from personal experience but reading that their are people who truly understand what its like to be put under pressure from the ba*tard dca's. It is this that eases the stress all this causes. You people have given me the confidence and knowledge to fightback against the continued bullying that I have experienced over the last couple of months. Thank you one and all.
