Hammy, Clearly you have not fully read my post, I said do not go for the cheap chip mod (as sold on e bay and mentined by the car craft salesman) which are still a resistor in a box; which basically fools the ECU into thinking the intake air is colder than it actually is, thus allowing a slight overfuel situation which is why the performance is slightly improved,Hope the above is simple enough for you to understand,Tuning boxes from the reputable companies are indeed a different matter but I still think a remap is the best option if you go to one of the better known names So before you suggest ignoring advice, you really should try and work out what the advice is actually saying

As an aside I would never go for the "cheap chip" performance boost, they are little more than a resistor that fools the engine into over fuelling the car and although will boost performance you car will probable be more smokey and less economical. If you do want to get a bit more oomph go for a ECU remap by a reputable tuning company like Celtic Tuning or Superchips , they will cost more but you should be pleased with the results.

They returned the allocation questionaire to the courts "LATE;They returned the court listing fee ;LATE;They filed their defence to the court and myself LATE;What I didn't realise with small claims is they can't pass on the cost of a solicitor if they win. Just keep the faith and ignore the meaningless drivel that you will get through the post, these "debt" collection companies have no more authority than you or I, if "debt" recovery write to you and you feel you must respond you could write and tell them that the the alleged debt is disputed or better still that you deny the existence of any alleged "debt" and that they should refer back to their client, not contact you again and also advise that you specificaly forbid any of their agents or anyone connected with their company permission to set foot on your property. (please note that this will provoke more silly threatograms and junk mail so be prepared to deal with it) Or as advised by those who know .... ignore the Clowns and stop worrying, I know which one I would do (and it does not involve the cost of a stamp !!)

Yes, you should be concerned ! you are most inconsiderate disappointing those nice people at CPEA after all they are only trying to relieve you of your money (when you don`t need to give them it ). If they had a leg to stand on they would have been to court already, continue to ignore the clowns , the threatograms will get more desperate and brightly coloured then they will go away and try to find another victim to attempt to intimidate into giving them money.

Watchdog did not advise paying though! they will not categorically advocate ignoring the invoice (begging letter) as that might leave them open to criticism about giving legal advice (remember the PPCs do have put up job court cases where one of their minions deliberately does not contest or loses a case so that the PPC can claim to have won a court case) Where a PPC has been foolish enough to try their luck in court against a properly defended case they tend to lose, that is why they will not take up the Pepipoo challenge and that is why they rely on pathetic threats and brightly coloured pretend solicitors letters to try and scare you into parting with your hard earned when you do not need to, their invoices remain unenforcible and totally ignorable, do not fall for the BS they try on, DO NOT PAY

Ignore is still the best advice and works in 99.9% of cases (except Mr Trolls put up job !!) In my opinion Devere appear to be rank amateurs in the world of PPC make believe, ignore them with extra scorn !!

No you can apply to have the case tranfereed, but it will not get to that, this is just another threat to scare you into paying their $ camvoice, some PPCs have even been known to post out pretend summonses (not stamped by the court ) in order to panic the less stout hearted mugs !
