  1. You have paid nothing, received nothing, so I would say you can safely ignore any further communication from them. If this was done online, I would look at one of their emails and see if you are able to unsubscribe from future communications.
  2. Why, exactly would it be obvious ? Aside from which, a 'Thank you, but I have that link' would have cost nothing ?
  3. And here is the fact checked version. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2020-55529230
  4. Well lets just hope that none of those who returned to the UK were infected and none of cjcregg's family have the misfortune to meet up with any that might have been.
  5. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-55465079 Well for sure there is some anger that this happened - can they not be tracked from their booking information or passports ?
  6. https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/news/uk/tier-1-scilly-islanders-fear-selfish-people-arriving-to-escape-lockdown/ IMHO, ferries should refuse to let anyone who is not a resident board ferries.
  7. I would have hated to have started the New Year with my accident list of today ! Perhaps I should just have stayed in bed !1 Tipped head over heels in the garden when I stood on a really icy spot - pride and btm took a severe blow. Shut car door on hand whilst defrosting it - wearing gloves but my knuckles still hurt . Had a momentary lapse of concentration when parking the car in Co-op car park. Instead of braking, I hit the accelerator and darn near ended up in the dyke ! Taking shopping out of boot of car - hit head on boot - Now, that did hurt and I have a lump on my head Aside from that, Here's hoping you all have a Happy and Healthy New Year x
  8. I agree with dx.. If this were me, I would be making payments to the higher interest cards first. If you do not close the card with the 0 balance, this will keep your credit utilisation showing as lower.. Just make sure you do not spend on it. Cut it up !! Once you have repaid some of the other cards down then you could perhaps close it totally. Make minimum payments on the interest free card until such times as you have paid down or paid off the other two where interest is being charged.
  9. Reading your posts again, I see you mention the Manager standing by but saying nothing, so sadly unless this is part of a chain, where you will be able to make a formal complaint to Head Office, I rather suspect that you are going to receive little or no satisfaction from making a complaint. The whole episode sounds totally bizarre and probably quite frightening for your Wife. The only thing I can suggest is that you do write to the store pretty much laying out the entire scenario and perhaps asking for an apology. At the very least you are letting them know the behaviour of the member of staff was and is totally unacceptable.
  10. Was this a local post office - part of a small convenience store ?
  11. Morning Scott, I have no tree at all. I guess it would be a good place to store all the excess loo rolls though !.
  12. Whilst it is not the driver's fault - I suggest you ask him to wait whilst you check the dates on your shopping and reject anything that is not acceptable. I too am getting fed up with finding foodstuff with just one or two days left to the 'use by date' If I wanted to shop every day, I would not shop online but take myself to the local farm shop or the Co-op !!. I suspect it is due to those who actually visit the store to shop are selecting the longer dates (which I would do if I was to physically shop) leaving only the shorter dates for the pickers to put in the baskets for online shoppers.
  13. Was this an interest only loan do you know ? I cannot believe you racked up £10,000 worth of missed payments / extra added interest !! If I am reading that pdf correctly you were charged over £150.00 for just one missed payment, along with associated interest and admin charges ?
  14. Did you check for yourself that the meter was out of order ? Did you respond to any of the communications received also advising them of this ?
  15. Was this an interest only loan do you know ? I cannot believe you racked up £10,000 worth of missed payments / extra added interest !!
  16. They appear to be blaming it on the Lighthouse Laboratories for not reporting these tests. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/dec/17/wales-coronavirus-cases-double-it-problem "PHW said the missing results were from tests carried out by the Lighthouse laboratories, which were set up to help tackle the Covid crisis. The Welsh health minister, Vaughan Gething, said the government was aware that the PHW case numbers were not accurate before it made the decision about the new restrictions."
  17. It would also give money to the opposition eg, Labour LA's.
