  1. First off is the account now in the lady's name? Are the letters addressed to her? If not, call them again and inform the account holder has passed away and to terminate the contract. I know you already done this but if they have not actioned it then that's their tuff titty. If they are in her name, call them and tell them that you will be terminating the contract due to the price increase. Now they will offer some discount to stay put but it'll be a poor discount. Continue with the termination and in a week or so you'll get a call from the organ grinder that will give you a decent discount (If you want to stay) or just start again fresh with someone new. I recently had a price increase from £31.50 to £43 for broadband. I followed my old tried and tested routine and now pay £25 a month.
  2. If he is getting a mortgage he has probably got a fat deposit in his bank account. Make a full and final settlement, if you want to crack a deal then go for it but no part payments. This is the leverage you have been waiting for.
  3. I think you need to contact them, explain the situation and come to an arrangement. They will not want to take your waste away for free. They will eventually just come pick the skip up and tip it out on your property to get their property back and then you have to start over again. Not worth hassle.
  4. Tough spot. Skip companies are pretty tight knit so another wont move it, you cant drag in onto the road as that's fly tipping. The skip company wont want to foot the bill to tip the waste and that's completely fair. I think your only option here would be to pay the bill, after all it's still your waste and you need it gone. The skip company could I guess, eventually come collect their skip minus the contents by tipping it where it currently stands. Not ideal but I think the easiest way to settle this is pay the bill direct to the skip company, put it down to experience and move on.
  5. Tell them your not paying apart from the agreed amount and your calling the police regarding the rest. They are not not stupid and won't want to be on the police's radar. It'll be a case of they tried it on, it didn't work so they will move on. Stand your ground, I bet he will take the 120 and you'll never hear from him again. They are just chancers and they know when the games up.
  6. They sell salvaged cars at auction. Did you go to view the car before you placed a bid?
  7. It's their site fella, they can do as they please and if they don't want you there there's not much you can do about it.
  8. I don't think Facebook care about you or what you think but you are triggering their spam algorithm with your constant reporting and use of words like 'scammer' so it's reacting to you. Reporting scammers is a waste of time, for every one that gets dealt with 2 will pop up in it's place. It's better the devil you know. Find another past time that makes you happy.
  9. I love how they have put a copyright notice on the letter!
  10. I completely believe you that you wasn't using your phone. But, take the course and move on or you'll be wasting an untold amount of time and money on this and it's not worth it.
  11. I think what's important here, regardless to the LL's financial agreement with the mortgage company is signing that contract will make no real difference to your rental security, if anything it'll give you the edge to being more secure. Why would they go to those lengths if they were just going to evict you? And as for eviction there is a procedure to follow so if this did happen come back and the forum can advise. A LL can ultimately evict you for any reason weather they tell you that reason or not but there are rules and they have to be followed. I think you'll be ok.
  12. You would probably have been better off just not turning up for the flights and giving up the money. How you paid is irrelevant. You formed a contract with Ryanain then broke it. Ryanair are going to want their money.
  13. Photograph everything after your final clean up just to cover your ass.
  14. Yup, you went out your way to agitate the situation. You were asked to leave and you nipped round front and went in anyway. I would stop this claim before it costs you a small fortune. Swallow your pride and move on. If you have cost the landlord money so far don't be surprised if they want that back.
  15. no-body is reporting a crime. Police are not interested.
  16. Can you imagine how much time and effort not to mention money it would cost to search cctv for you nicking in the past when they don't even know that you have? The security guard was putting the frighteners up you. I wouldn't worry about it but i'd probably stay away for a bit. Stop nicking stuff!
  17. LOL Tracing service... Means they looked you up on Facebook or Linkedin.
  18. Send the cheque and call that it. It's their look out after that. You have been seen as trying. Send it recorded.
  19. Hello Buddy, While it's with Marstons the CSA won't want to help, they think their monkeys will scare you into paying so won't entertain you. You need to keep fobbing marstons off until they hand it back. They normally do, in my experience, after 3 attempts to collect send the case back to the CSA then they will want to talk again. Marstons can't force entry but they will just walk in if you leave the door unlocked or a window. They may try and levy on anything outside if you don't let them in. Keep items of value locked away. They may even try and levy on a random car, tell them it's not yours. They may try to tell you to prove it. This is nonsense, they can check who owns the car quite easily but it's a tatic they like to use. Basically, don't let them in. Don't even open the door. Speak through a window or letter box. Tell them it's disputed and your waiting for them to hand the case back. They are not idiots, if you keep telling them that they will get the message and just hand it back as they know they are wasting their time. They are not a threat. When it's handed back the lines of communication will become open again but you must speak to them. They don't let go. Good luck. ps, self employed is the way to go, they don't really bother with self employed people as it's to hard for them to chase.
  20. Use your insurance legal cover, let them deal with it. It's what you pay them for.
  21. Start a Visa debit chargeback. Bet they will soon send the box.
  22. Currys love to milk customers. And the cheek to charge for recycling when all they do it send it all to auction and make on it anyway!
  23. The quality of the own made shows are not as good as Netflix. I recently watched 'The man in the high castle' pilot episode and felt it was lacking something. They obviously dont have the budget Netflix has. I decided not to continue after the trial.
