  1. Sounds like they gave you a good deal, i used them before no probs. Now i use just experian, i email them problems and they sort them free of charged. To get a credit ccore costs 5.99 though, too much i think. Still for what checkmyfile do id say its excellent value for money. Im using experian but requested my £2 statutory copy from equifax as they tend to hold slightly different information. Equifax are also expensive, no idea why.
  2. Pursue the cashback company, pm me their name if you cant get a hold of them i can usually find a lot of information about a company and may be able to assist. It does seem there are a lot of things like this going on
  3. Not sure exactly what cards you are talking about as i lknow many. Yes they work you still need to do the things as above, like electoral roll and geta copy of your record as usually there are discrepancies on them like mine. Sort it all out, i have a kind of Capitol One starter, not very good interest rate but only a small £500 card and like someone said just put something small on it and pay it off at end of month. I wouldnt advise going to some real dodgy card companies, and there are some! Capital one should suffice
  4. LoL good idea, but first can i ask them to send me all PS3's they have in stock at $180 each bill me please and send them over. Cash paid on delivery =p Mwhahhaahhahaa
  5. Playstation 3 $180 ? send me one now! Lol funny ad, not really relevant to this site, some weird [problem] to be avoided
  6. You can try but they have already told you they will defend which is not unusual. Sending them the court bundle wont do much, they will probably just bin it. Its a waiting game im afraid. I dont think you can add any charges on to your existing claim, it may be possible if you complete an N244 amendment form costing £35 otherwise id guess you would have to raise a new claim.
  7. I used to use them all the time, it apears a good idea when you need money but like you say you end up delaying them and one day they have to be paid. Well i would speak to them and see if they can do anything, if they cant they could bank them as they will be "Gaurenteed cheques" using your cheque guarentee card, this will result in you going over your overdraft and getting charges from the bank which you will then want to reclaim. If none of this works maybe take out a small £500 loan? my credit record was seriously bad but there are some lenders although the interest rate will not be good!
  8. well im playing the drums drum roll........ Hoping for a nice update!
  9. Dont expect them to settle they may still carry on denying it. They seem to take ages to pay anyhow so may as well press on for the full amount. Maybe see if they want to settle first.
  10. Very true, its unlikely it will be removed, although there is a case and the creditor will hopefully have to show Experian or at least explain their reasons. It probably wont work although i had a case with Barclays Bank and was getting nowherre with them so logged it for Experian, a few weeks later the default had been taken off, anything is worth a go, better than trying to go straight to court!
  11. Check out the T&C i think its reasonable for you to cancel especially as you are not even getting speeds above a low package. Section 33 of there agreement could be used. You dont have a 30 day money back guarentee unfortunately so will need to pusue this as not giving you what you asked for
  12. Thanks Buzby good advice there, i think you should default/ccj vodaphone not that it would make a difference (joke) Good luck getting your default removed
  13. Just to note Pam and Paris had actually assisted in the publication of their movies when they knew they were going to be released, they even got royalties! It is not legal so follow the advice given above
  14. Ridiculous, get them to notify the Credit Agencies of this mistake and correct your record. The letter they are sending you should be sent to the Agencies as well, id log this with Experian who will speak to them on yur behalf, only if you dont get anywhere.
  15. Interesting, how do they submit a legal default to my credit record? If so surely this document should be shown to us when requested under the data protection act? Does the DPA not allow you to request any document that is held on file for an individual?
  16. It may not be of use it court but it may make them feel uneasy. Do it, these people will not go to court, excuse after excuse is just no good. I hope you get all the costs back and full refund, and it will be their fault!
  17. Yes, Vodaphone are not bound by CCA by any means. I am still trying to get mine off my record. Did you have any charges on your account you could reclaim? Surely if they have not provided a copy of the default they have not complied with your SAR ?
  18. Unfortunately you wont be able to back that up. Each bank will have different overheads which need be taken account of when making charges in relation to these penalties. These also appear to be fees for the account. Ive read a lot of documents and sites and its quite apparent that you should not attempt to claim amounts if they are deemed to be acceptable, acceptable is less than £12. The OFT report is also used in the court bundle i believe thus would be detramentle to this case
  19. I know what your saying but unfortunately the OFT do not back this up, they state there must be some profit made to cover overheads heres a snipplet of what the OFT reported "In April ‘06, the Office of Fair Trading opined that credit card charges were too high and should be reduced to £12, which most plastic providers have since done. It’s undoubtedly a positive step, though many may still think £12 is too high; yet it adds weight to the case for reclaiming charges as it makes all prior charges look too expensive."
  20. Hmm it looks like a account fee, a usage fee in other terms. A fee for the account. If not then i would have said £4 or £5 would be a reasonable penalty and thus should not be claimed. Hopefully someone can clarify this for you, will keep an eye on this!
  21. You cannot claim the bank charges of £4 and £5, even if they increased to £15 it would probably be as the account was upgraded. These are not penalty charges but a fee fr the operating of that specific account. I pay £7 a month and get free AA cover etc. Hope im not too late!
  22. Thats a standard response. I think you now need to send your charges spreadsheet to Lloyds Solicitors. I take it you sent two copies of this to MCOL Northampton when you filed your claim online?
  23. Ok called Voda, they wanted full payment and advised debt was sold to Buchanan Clark & Wells, i said no hcance its 5 years old, guy was fine he was laughing, i asked he delete Default he said they cant, i said but you can he said maybe but he cannot do it only the other department who i spoke to could. I refused to pay full balance and contacted debt collection agency Buchanan. Spoke to a woman, again nice no problems with them, i said right then how about 25% now, she goes cant do that how about 75% i said cmon the debt is 5 years old and not even valid i will go with 50% she agreed and i paid. Now time to go back to Voda and pressure for default removal. Wont stress too much in fact at all seeing as my record should improve a lot now i have satisfied this 5 year old default. Nice to see how much it increases my experian record! I may even hit NORMAL!
  24. Sounds like the court know the banks settle up early and are asking you to tell them if they had. Maybe some are reading too much in to this! It doesnt appear to ask for any evidence.
  25. Im pretty sure that the CC agreement will not be affected by any settlement you may receive. These two parts tend to be run seperately and you will not have to pay off the credit card, unless you are outside of your terms and they may ask you to go for a review. Go ahead, delete the 8% and off you go!
