  1. No I didn't send a letter to Lloyds just sent an email to freds thats all. I will send a letter off to the bank and see what they say. I am positive this debt is on the credit file will try and find out. Thanks for your help
  2. Thanks as always for your replies. Right in a panic I sent an email to freds explaining that the amoun of money could only be due to charges as we never had any sort of loan with the bank. I offered to pay £10 per month but during this time I was to seek advice regarding the debt. Today we have received a letter from freds saying how sorry they are for any inconvience and stress this has caused and that they have updated their records and we should no longer be hearing from them regarding this matter. Now what though? Will the bank start chasing us for it? also I'm pretty sure this has been recorded on credit reports but not sure if it was by freds or the bank. I very much doubt the debt will just be written off like that.
  3. Thanks for your reply. Yes we wrote a letter to the bank asking to cancel all direct debits from the account at the same time as asking for the account to be closed. Can they really take me to court over this money which is clearly all charges?
  4. Hello My partner has received a letter from fredrickson. They claim he owes Lloyds tsb £1100. This is whats annoying us. He had a bank account with them but when We/he claimed his bank charges back we asked them to to close the account .This was done in writing and also they sent him a blue form to sign to close the account. We thought the account was closed untill he started getting charges put on the account as they had not closed the account and cancelled the direct debits. We questioned this and they say they never receieved the form even though we handed it in direct to the bank. We moved house 2 years ao and this is the first we have heard from this debt. The £1100 is all bank charges. What do we do? Do we pay it even though we can't afford to or do we fight it? The letter is the before action one. I'm so worried about this my partner is suffering from stress already not sure how this is going to effect him Thanks
  5. Thanks now I get it. I think my partner did ring them and we couldn't claim but really can't remember why that was. I was very young and stupid then and probably would never argue with them about it.
  6. Thaks for all you help. What is confusing me is as we only actually made round 10 payments then got into money trouble. They sold the debt on (this has been confirmed) which includes the ppi. So yes we have only paid 10 payments but we staill have to pay the dca the loan amount and the PPI. What happens in this situation. Thanks again you lot do a brill job with helping others
  7. Hey I am starting to claim bak miss sold PPI on a loan with black horse but I am not sure how to work it all out. The debt has been sold to a DCA so just trying to work out if I win how much we should get back. I will be attempting to get the refund sent directly to me then come to a settlement with the DCA. How do I work the interest out? Cash price of PPi £649.21 interest per month 2.959% APR 41.9 monthly payments £29.10 first payment 07/01/2005 total charge for credit 427.49 Total £ 1,076.70 number of payments 37 Thanks
  8. I have reached an agreement with buy as you view and would like to thank all you guys for all your help and info and a note to anybody taking out hire purchase read your agreements carefully before you sign and keep records of all your payments
  9. Thanks have sent him an email.Have been in touch with the FSA and they say they will write to buy as you view on my behalf and then i will have to allow them 8 weeks to respond if i dont get a responce or they fob me off. Then the FSA say they will take on my complaint for me.Also been on the phone to trading standards who have put me in touch with my local office so they can go over my documents.Just got the shock of my life when i was flicking through my documents this bit here is complete madness.. QTY 1 samsung 28inch tv cash price £399.99 QTY 8 maint vouchers £120.00:-x QTY1 arr fee £30
  10. Hi Its been very quiet on the buy as you view side until today when i had a letter from C.A.R.S debt collection demanding payment of £2200:shock:.I rang them and kindly told them i will not pay a penny till the amount is the true amount i owe without all the add ons they used. What i really cant get my head around is these maintance vouchers which were added on to a few of my agreement (which were added together with the amount of credit making the interest much more) and were hand written by the agent and also the arrangement fees which differ on every agreement and they charge me interest on it.Another thing is on the letter from the debt collection agency it says i have ignored requests from buy as you view but i have not heard a thing from them in months.I could do with alittle advise on my next steps.I am fully prepared to go to the media,tv and watchdog and also be taken to court where i will do my very best to show these people for what they are.Any advice gladly received thanks

Cash price of payment protection plan £649.21 Amount of credit (the loan for goods/services) £649.21 interest ratio per month 2.959% apr 41.9 monthly repayment is £29.10 first payment due 07/01/05 total charge for credit £427.49 total amount payable £1,076.70 estimated payments 37
