Hi

I have just noticed the EE have has placed a default on my credit report for £450 and it has been on there for two years before I noticed.

I called the and they admitted that it should not have happened and will remove it within 48 hours.

This is all well and good but I have not been able to get loans or credit cards in this time is there any way off getting compensation for there mistake?

any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Kind Regards

SD

Hi

As I was writing this I received this email from EE.

Dear Sir

Thank you for your recent correspondence.

I am very sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced with your account and the impact this has had to your credit file. I understand how frustrating this must be for you.

I can confirm however that I have looked into this for you and have notified Equifax, Experian and Call Credit to remove the default from your credit file and amended to show as settled.

This information will update after 24 hours and you will be able to see these changes on a brand new copy of your credit report.

Once again I am sorry for any inconvenience caused and I hope this resolves your query.

Thanks & Regards

Rohit Singh

if you can prove losses then yes you should seek compensation

typically £1000 per entry.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

Hi SD,

If you want to win compo against them, it would help if you can actually identify losses that you've suffered as a consequence of the adverse CRA entries.

Eg, if you had to take out a loan at a higher interest rate because you were unable to get more competitive rates. However, I'd have thought the adverse data would have shown up if you were looking to borrow

Were you an EE customer at the time the adverse data was posted.

Hi slick

Yes I am an EE customer and this was to do with a mobile broadband account I had with them.

I was having lots of problems with it, so I made a complaint and escalated it to there Executive Office.

After about 20 emails and numerous calls, they were unable to fix it so we agreed to cancel the contact.

This is when they placed the fraudulent default on my credit report.

The reason why I didn't notice is I went bankrupt October 2008 & discharged in July 2009,

I just thought it was because of this I was being refused credit for the last year.

It was only when I got refused by vanquis, last week.

I checked my credit report and noticed this, and it was the only default on my records.

I have been unable to get a loan and the only company that will,

are the payday loans and we all not how expensive they are.

Kind Regards

SD
