Hi Mac, I've added this & FSA to Review Waiver threads to my signature. So hopefully it might just help us a bit more, I hope it doesn't take long for someone to get back to us, regarding moving us to the General Forum.

I've also downloaded the list to spreadsheet, so that I can keep an eye on our total as well. I'm going to see if I can do one for the MEP's as well.

In my case this left just over 3000 chars for the message. I had to edit MacBoys template so drasticaly that it ended up making no sense at all, so please use the Writetothem.com link. thanks, stone.

the official government link to your MP. Your message is limited to 4000 chars. This includes you own contact details, paragraphs spaces etc, when I sent message to my MP Joan Humble Blackpool south I was restricted to less than 3000 chars. This rendered the template letter totaly useless as I was forced to edit so much out of it, the whole human rights issue and much more. So PLEASE use the write to them link.

I work for an MP and would like to advise that anyone who emails an MP must make sure they include their full address as MP's need to know if the sender of an email is their constituent. As they are not allowed to act for another MP's constituent.

 

If you do not include your full address you will need to be recontacted for your address which will delay matters.

 

MP's will correspond via email which is quicker for both parties.

 

MP's do, and are taking this up as a matter of concern and I am asking my MP to raise it as a question in the House as companies and organisations don't like being identified in parliament.

 

I am claiming bank charges myself and I am keeping my MP updated on the process and problems being faced by customers.

 

Your letter is good but I would advise that people sending emails do so directly to their MP and not via a third party site. Details of how to contact all MP's are available on the Houses of Parliament website see link below.

Just e-mail them directly, see my post above

You can attach a Word document or just write in the body of your e-mail and you are not restricted to characters like if you go through these message sites

I find all this pointless one up manship rather sad. Imagine for one moment if everyone was as protective of "their" idea,template,letter,post or advice. Where would we be?

 

There are many members who go unnoticed quietly posting day in day out offering advice/ideas etc without any fuss about where the advice/idea etc came from.

 

I only know what I know because of this site, my thanks to those people who I have gained and still gain knowledge from I show in posting to help others. Massaging ego's does no good, enjoy in the knowledge that you have helped others.

This response from Mrs. Humble comes after pestering her. Email her at Westminster, wrote to her at constituency office and all so Email to PA at Westminster. So maybe she just got pee`d off whith me!

stone, the letter is a standard template the FSA sent to all of us mine is exactly the same, they must think we are stupid!! They don't seem to have an inkling about this do they, what the hell is Joan Humble on about, any plans to clarify the legal position ? doesn't she know anything about whats being going on?? about the OFT case??

I knew that I had seen a very similar letter somewhere, the thing is are our MP`s aware that the FSA are sending them bog standard template letters, if they are not then other than us meeting with them face to face how on earth are they supposed to learn what is going on. I plan to take all of my paperwork involving my claim down to Mrs Humbles` surgery next week. I am sure that she will be pleased to know that she has been fobbed off by the FSA just like the rest of us.

Seems OK to me CRFX250. I am going to see my MP Joan Humble tomorrow and have copied the letter to show her that she also has received a "fob off " letter from the FSA like the rest of us.

Good work. That's probably an autoresponder, so your idea to send a follow-up via snail-mail is sound too.

 

I did a little more digging around in the select committees website after viewing your link and came across this - it's the contact details of the Committee Administration team. I wonder if might be worth your sending a copy letter to one of these people to try and get it under their noses, rather than, or in addition to, using the constituent/MP channel?

 

I wonder if Laura Humble Media Officer is related to Joan Humble MP for Blackpool North
