me and my wife have had a few advances on our mortgage and we have been charged btween £175-£299. we would like to try an claim these charges back because we beleave that they are excessive, and we had no option but agree to them because we would not have got the money we asked for.we have worked the total amount in excess of £1400(alot of money just to put money in our bank account).

i know that these charges are not classed as unlawfull because they are not covered by the same laws as overdraft charges ect.

we have written to the halifax asking for the charges back(posted 21/7/07).

What i need to know is that has anyone ever claimed these charges back and won?????
