wrote to MBNA on 14/05/06 asking for the 2 by £25 overlimit charges to be returned. Got the standard 28 days reply letter. was about to push them again today as 14 days is up when a chq for £26 arrived in post from them. Am going to accept it (generally i wouldnt) as since me asking for it back i've paid the card in full and closed the account.;)

Aren't you going to push for the rest? I know I would (and did) and got it back. Doesn't matter if the account's closed either, you can still get the rest back.

25/06/08 - NatWest - Prelim letter

09/03/06 - Halifax - Settled 27/4

22/03/06 - Capital One - Settled 24/6

17/04/06 - Nationwide - Settled 8/9

  • 4 weeks later...

in between me paying the card off in full and closingh the account MBNA decided that i'd been overlimit in May and charge me another 25 quid. sent Mt Bailey a snotty one and they've credited my account to a zero balance. as a result, i actualy have made 5 quid in the process!
