I wrote to my MP 'James Purnell' recently.

He is Minister of State for Pensions Reform in the Department of Work and Pensions.

His responsibilities include:

Stakeholder Pensions

Private Pensions

Financial Assistance Scheme

Pensions Protection Fund

Pensions Regulator

Informed Choice

Age Discrimination (retirement)

Pension Reform

The Pension Service

State Pensions Provision including Pension Credit

Winter Fuel Payments/Age Related Payments

Age Positive including Extending Working Lives

Regulatory Reform

E-Government

So he obvously deals with financial points a lot.

His reply was that he has made a REPRESENTATION regarding the matter of Bank Charges.

I have looked through Hansard commons reports and theyworkforyou.com and I cannot find any mention of this.

Are there any other listings that may show if he actually said anything.

or am i getting fob off letters form my MP as well?

I have to write back to him in a couple of weeks if he hasn't replied, so i will mention the whistleblower pack that he should have recieved and I would also like to clarify his representation and if he made one

Any ideas?

The DTI letter, dated 5th April, concludes ''this fact-finding exercise is expected to be completed later this spring...'' You might want to let him

know that the OFT had already annouced it's conclusion on 29th March

a week before the letter was written.
