Whilst, I am writing to Barclays (see my thread on Barclays forum) about my charges. I thought in for a penny and all that. So.......

I have 2 Barclaycards (Visa & Mastercard) - both are £800 or so over the agreed limit alas :( . I've been trying to get Barclaycard to agree to some form of repayment plan (£1 or £5 a month) for the time being as I am currently unemployed. However, despite my sending 3 letters (the most recent recorded delivery), I have had no response to my correspondence other than unsigned letters from Mercers (who I understand are part of B/C) with the usual 'threats' about non payment - I have so far missed 4 payments.

Having read a lot of the useful stuff in this thread (and on the site) - I was wondering if anyone has the current Barclaycard address for my DPA letter to go to ?

I assume also that the £10 fee covers both my Barclaycards ??

Thanks Folks !!! :) :)

Hi MCPR

Where did you send your letters do originally as the best place to send them to is

Barclaycard

PO Box 599

Manchester

M60 3NF

Alternatively, give them a call on 0161 2007476 and speak with Carl Nuttall.

I have to say that they are very pleasant to deal with as I was waiting for a response from them and I contacted the number above yesterday and a very nice man Mark Makin advised me to fax through my correspondence and he would deal with it from there.

Good luck

Thanks Nancies,

Funnily enough I spoke to Mark Makin there the other day - as you say he was v helpful.

I've just spoken to them in respect of my SAR letter and have been advised by Chris Calcott (also a very helpful chap :) ) that I should address it to:

Data Protection Team

Department LRC

Barclaycard

Northampton

NN4 7SG

(Cheque for £10 made payable to Barclaycard)

Watch this space - letter will be going recoreded delivery TONIGHT !! :)

Another thought - Sorry Folks. Now I have sent my SAR to Barclaycard (and also Natwest and Barclays re my current aaccounts) am i right in thinking that as my accounts 'are in dispute' then interest and charges are frozen until such a time as the dispute is resolved (i.e. when they all pay me back what they owe) ??

Any help / advice gratefully received, as always.

Ta :)
