I had the reply confirming what the judge said at the hearing, how long should I wait to see if they pay up ?

Have you received the written notification of the Judgement? It's this document, when given to the Bailiffs that allow them to serve notice on the Defender that they are in default. You should have got this no more than 14 days after the hearing. (To give them time to appeal).

Hi Buzby, I recieved written judgement dated by the court 10 november 2006.

That should be all you need to instruct Bailiffs. If you want to be 'nice', you could write to the defender with a copy of the judgement, saying that you now have judgement and you intend to instruct Bailiffs to enforce the court judgerment, but should they wish to avoid the additional costs associated with this, you look forward to their immediate payment.
