Just a question a few years back i got into trouble and ended with loads of collection agencys on my back after about 30,000.

With help i have reduced most of this and paid it off . However being niave i paid what was asked in one case 11,000 passed by RBS to an agency they then added about 6,000 to the debt.

My question can i revisit those debts and query the ammount charged and claim it back or do i accept that i have lost it ???? And if they have charged that much extra do i claim the ammount overpaid or is there anything else i can get.

I only ask coz they made my life hell!!

Also after reading other posts on wescot i am now wondering if they did not have the agreement then they were not in the right to collect the debt in the first place

and in the case of some whom i have settled for 5000 can i get it back

You can't simply try and claim the overcharge amount as you have no idea what it is made up off. You can claim back unlawful charges. You need to get all the details of what you actually paid. In the cases where you reached a settlement you will probably have agreed to a "full and final settlement", I'm not sure you would be able to claim anything back in that case.

Pam.

If anything I've said helps you then please feel free to tip my scales!
