Hi there everyone!

Just thinking that whilst all donations to this place are gratefully received I'm sure I feel that a kind of 'gentlemans (or ladies!) agreement' should operate.

With all the people being refunded of illegal bank charges I feel strongly that if your settlement is under £1000 for example you donate £5 and over £1000 then donate £10 plus.

This would help to keep this invaluable site running and bear in mind, if it was not for the tireless work of this site, you probably would not have your money back!

I am currently persuing a claim against HSBC and will donate as soon as (or if!) I win!

Quite honestly though - there is certainly no obligation for anyone at all to donate - only donate if you think you should and if you can afford it.

I don't like the idea of a sliding scale - it implies that we expect people to donate.

We have been doing this for free (and will continue to do so), but our hosting costs are about to go up (we're consistently over our monthly GB limit) and the forum software costs etc... are starting to hurt a little.

If it can pay for itself and become 'self-sufficient' then great. But we most certainly don't expect people to donate at all.

Having said that, all donations are very welcome and very greatfully recieved.

Someone noted recently that you were changing the site front-page to encourage google hits.

Why not ask for web links from people? This is one of the best ways to improve google ratings! :D
