To be honest Glenn, i didnt claim back the interest i paid, was quite satisfied with cont compounded and it really seemed difficult to work out. Slap my wrists SORRY

An account i had with Barclays was very simular, my argument was £1200 unfair charges and £2100 compounded cont interest. I said they could offset the £1200 against my debt of £4500 but demanded the interest £2100 paid by cheque on the reasoning that the £2100 was what they had denied me in investing elsewhere and was nothing to do with them. They gave in and paid me out. Thats the way i would approach it.

Hi, i'm currently helping my sister and her friend with reclaiming their charges. I've sent Cap 1 and RBOS 'power of Attorney' for both parties but they are refusing to deal with me stating that the documents have to be signed by a solicitor. Could someone advised on this please. I feel this maybe yet another piece of bum information there giving out.

Bill, i should imagine since the contractual interest issue came up, there will be alot of claims coming to there conclusion and we might see an influx of successful claims, there by giving everyone the confidence to go for the jugular, not that they should'nt anyway, that right Glenn?

I think you'll find it's todays rate that you use.

And it usually puts the claim over the £5k threshold.
