Update:

Phoned Mr Rhodes' number and got through to an admin lady. Told her about yesterdays events and she took all of my details down and promised to find the person who was dealing with my case and get them to call me back when they have all the info available.

She said that should be sometime today and if that didn't happen then to call her. Jennifer Wise was her name, she gave me her direct dial number too so i will be calling back later this afternoon if i haven't received a call!

Update:

Received a phone call from Gareth (the guy who originally phoned me) and he said that he was sorry but he didn’t receive a message to call me back yesterday (lack of communication or maybe just lies?!).

He went through how MBNA understands that people believe their fees are unlawful however MBNA do not agree with this, even so, he said that he has today credited my account with the remainder of my claim of £140 charges (they’d already refunded £160), £35 interest, and the £30 court fee. He said that a letter went out yesterday to confirm this and would I stop the court claim now. I told him that I would wait until I could see the refund in my account online and until I had received the letter at home and checked it and then I would cancel the court claim.

Off to check bank online now and phone home to see if there’s any post!
