Up until a couple of months ago, the treasury solicitors refused to accept service by email in court claims. But now things have changed as they dont want to touch your dirty infested bits of paper or deal with diseased postal operatives .
You can now serve the government legal department by email due to a u-turn - see web page.
It applies to a limited number of government departments in England and Wales so check before issuing - it does include claims under the Crown Proceedings act.
