the keeper would be liable for the charge IF there was a contract to breach and their wasnt. This is because ther signage is garbage so you werent actually offered anything to consider and accept. All standard GCSE law stuff but they can barely read and write so they will continue to try and harass you for the money regardless. that is why it isnt worth appealing to them but will be worth slagging Lidl off on social media

 

you will also have to stop being polite in future correspondence

I know I'm not always this way! Maybe it's just when faced with a letter. Either way I've given Lidl both barrels now to the point where they are lost for words. Would be nice of Athena went the same way any they would also be lost in the ether too.

Morning all

 

Just to update, after going through the appeal site 'Resolver', Lidl has now cancelled the parking charge on my behalf.

 

It was a bit of a slow burner initially, but once the penny dropped with Lidl, they brought it to quite a swift conclusion.

Keep a record of the cancellation, the PPCs have previous for "forgetting" the charge has been withdrawn.

Great stuff, as above keep all correspondence, they might try in on next year when they think all the evidence of cancellation has been lost or binned.
