Many car parks owned by these companies are abdicating responsibility ( I believe) to the PPCs and should be stopped

 

TfL have given the management of the car park to NCP, but as it a TfL car park it is subject to statutory control and so although NCP can claim for a breach of their 'rules' from the driver, they cannot claim from the keeper.

 

The main concern about airports appears to be the status of the land in question - is it actually part of the airport or not, and so subject to the airport byelaws or not.

An update from me on this one.

 

 

It is now 8.5 months since the ticket received at Stanmore LU station for not parked in a marked bay.

 

 

 

I have had no further letters from ZZPS or WH so I guess they huffed and puffed hoping I would take their threats seriously.

 

Great credit to all who contributed and advised especially Raykay who I owe a beer too.

However I think I'm correct in saying that the parking companies can take people to court up to six years after the event, so although you're 99% in the clear don't throw the documentation away!

but I doubt they would ever do that with TFL/LU owniong the land and having a covering Byelaw.

you keep all of the paperwork safe for 6 years. Chances are they will keep quiet but they may get bored in a couople of years time and spend their hours going through old files and then sending out new threats to old cases as they know that the paperwork is long gone so they have a better chance of winning. that includes pictures of the signage so get some if you dont already ahve them filed away
