Hi I have 2 debts with Lloyds both managed by Apex but now owned by Cabot

The debts are for £4K and £10K they are 8 years old and are for closed current accounts. I pay £1 pm

I was originally in £60K of debt with various lenders but have brought it down over the years with Partial settlements,

My 2 Questions are

Q1; I do not remember a £10K current account debt and have asked for a copy of the original contract on both accounts, they have replied by saying they will send me a statement but do NOT need to send a copy of my signature as its a current account and not a loan... is this correct??

Q2; Assuming due to age the debt it is no longer on my credit file what % is usually acceptable for a partial settlement?

Thanks

sadly they are correct.

why not send LLoyds an SAR get all the statements.

as I bet the debts are 99% charges that can/could have been reclaimed

if the debts are off your file

they cant comeback now

so the only way they could hurt you is by getting a CCJ if you were to stop paying.....

sounds like you are being cash cowed to me for debts of that sum and age??

why didnt Lloyds take you to court and crush you

rather than selling the debts on for peanuts..urm.. makes you think eh?

if they weren't confident in doing court and effectively wrote the debts off

I doubt a DCA would be either

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

there are no set rules but start very low

trouble is

you pay it

they'll sell the rest of the debt on

no matter what their silly letters say

if the debts are not on your file

they are not hurting you

why pay them off

you might as well burn the money for all the good it will do you

go have a holiday with it!!

your issue is you got conned into paying £1PCM

that's keeps resetting the SB clock...

how/why did you ever start doing that?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..
