Hi all!

I was behind with payment to Southern Water & recently

paid a first instalment online after receiving one of their red letters.

Soon after I received a letter from Moorcroft (attached) stating I should not pay direct to SW anymore.

My question is,

should I continue to pay direct to Southern Water,

or should i acknowledge Moorcroft & deal with them directly?

Many thanks! :)FullSizeRender.jpg

Ignore these powerless clowns.

Pay SW direct, and tell them that you will ONLY pay them, and NOT their chosen third party fools.

Did SW inform you that they were giving this to Moorc@p to collect?

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

No, I don't believe they did... I guess it could be in the small-print somewhere

moorcrap don't buy debts

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Moorcroft are acting on behalf of the creditor. That means you ONLY ever deal with the creditor and not the DCA> THe creditor cannot refuse to take a payment towards the debt.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks

  • 5 months later...

I have a gripe with Southern Water

got behind last year and they defaulted me did pay it off but they refused to remove default.

This years got behind and without any letters they have now added this years arrears to the existing default

so gone from zero to £199

is this right

can they just add future amounts to existing default?

Have written to them and happy to pay the debt but not happy with their attitude.
