Cabot Financial (Europe) Limited have left a footprint on my credit search file that says 'Customer Management'

 

 

id like to know if this is going to be visible to lenders or if this particular search would be only visible to myself?

 

 

It came about as i called them and asked the outstanding balance on a very old debt.

 

There is no evidence of them within my file as this particular arranged payment fell of the credit report 2 years ago

so it is only this particular search now.

why are you ringing a fleecing DCA?

they are NOT BAILIFFS

and have

NO SUCH LEGAL POWERS.

This was for a default on a credit card from about 8 years ago

which i got when i lost my job and missed 2 payments.

 

I have been making small payments to Cabot ever since it was passed over,

about £40month. (about £3,000 to go)

 

The debt has dropped off the credit file but was wondering if lenders in particular mortgage lenders would see the Cabot search titled 'customer management'?

 

 

My concern is if that is now visible to lenders this could impact any other loans/credit applications in the future.

My credit score shows as 'very good' but know this is really irrelevant.

 

I hadn't spoken to them for a few years and 1 call to check my balance must have led to them running the search.
