hi ,we have a secured loan off just under 5,000 from Black Horse which is now been taken over by Skye Loans we purposed to pay it at 150.00 per month but they have refused and added charges off 53.00 can any one help please

How old is this loan and why has it been taken over by Skye ?

Is this proposal lower than the contractual payments and was there any arrangement in place with Blackhorse before Skye took over ?

Are the charges a one off addition, or do they propose to add them on a regular basis ?

Was there any Payment Protection Insurance added to the original loan ?

The loan was on a 10 year bases ,

no idea why Skye loans took it over just got a letter in the post about a month ago saying your loan has been transfered to us Black Horse no longer do Loans ,

yes we have pp on the loan with a few years as yet to pay

we missed a few payments away back last June due to unemployment

but to catch up we asked Black Horse if we could pay extra to get out of any arrears

they were very helpful and said yes ,

now Skye Loans are not so helpful very worrying indeed

If you had an agreement with Blackhorse loans to repay the arrears on top of the contractual payments and you have it in writing, then I am pretty sure that Skye are not able to renege on that ? Did you have this agreement in writing ?

Is it possible you can depersonalise the letter you received from Blackhorse transferring the account to Skye - scan it in and post it up for us to see exactly what it says ?

Is the PPI of any value to you ? Was it mis sold perhaps ? Told you had to have it in order to have the loan? If so, then you might want to consider putting in a claim to have that refunded to you?

Meanwhile I will try and find someone who can help further.

Here you go, have a read of the link above. If you have an agreement, in writing with BH loans, then Skye are estopped from demanding any different.
