Hi, My question is this, has a morgage company got the right to ask for a signature and passport or drivers license when claiming a ppi refund from an exsting morgage that is paid from my bank account at the morgaged address to confirm identity or they cannot proceed with complaint.

I just wrote a letter of complaint, letter arrived asking for sign within six days or they could not look in to the complaint.

It's just a security procedure to prove that nobody is trying to impersonate you and complain fraudulently. Maybe a bit exaggerated in the circumstances, but just do it. It's quicker and easier than arguing.

Just wondering if the OP had any luck sending CTAX statement instead of passport details etc?

I have the same issue with NRAM requesting photo Id.
