Hi. Quick question. I've just had an offer on my ppi. Card was taken out in sept 2001 but they have only done the calculations from that date up to May 2010. Policy was still in force until I cancelled it last month. Any ideas why they have done this. Thanks for any help

well without all the info

you can never question if its right or wrong

at this stage you could ask why they've not included past 2010

could be the interest stopped then.

or the card was closed

could 1001 reasons.

is the card still active?

you sy the PPI was

but that doesn't mean you were still paying for it.

more history needed

Thanks. My sister had the same letter from them about her claim and she said she spoke to them and they told her that the payments she has been making for the last few years were for a payment break plan and not ppi. I've just checked my statements and mine also say payment break plan. Is it worth following this up with a sar request.

Also, i don't know if it would make any difference but I haven't been working since 2009 due to having 3 children so would the payment break plan of been any good to me anyway, or it that not their problem. I have never signed anything to say I wanted it.

They have credited my bank account with their offer this morning without me accepting it if that makes any difference. Should I just accept it?

Thanks again

probably an old Monument or Providian card then

they payment break plan [same as ppi even though they'll tell you its not PPI]

you would need to do a spreadsheet after getting all the statement to know if the refund was correct [easy to do]

They state in their letter that they are paying up to 2010 (even though I have continued paying the 'payment break plan' fee up until last month' . So what I am really asking is 'Is it possible to claim for payment break plan being mis sold from 2010 to date or would I be wasting my time. Thanks.
