I am not a Happy bunny

Received a letter this morning dated the 27th January. They said payment will go into my account within 10 days form the date of this letter as to mileage costs

I said I would claim mileage as I thought I would get more, HOW WRONG I WAS

Taxi from home to train station return £10.00

Train to Atos centre return £11.50

Taxi from home address to train station return £10.00

Before anyone says anything I am on crutches and had to use a Taxi, I have since found out they will not pay for a Taxi, even if I am on crutches

Total expense £31:50

Payment from Atos as to Mileage £14.00

Lodge a formal complaint with the DWP and get your MP involved. The vast majority of the guidance issued by the DWP clearly states that "the claimant should not be worse off by attending". i.e. Travel expenses to be refunded in full, no strings attached.

Whilst you are expected to travel using the cheapest means available, if you have disabilities that prevent you from using public transport, reasonable taxi fares should be accepted.
